The Bruised Pharisee

Valentine's Day came and went largely unnoticed for me. DeviantART had a valentine-exchange system, and I sent one anonymously to another user (and ended up receiving one from that same user).

A little bit tired, but otherwise good. I'm anticipating Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent this week. How about you?

That's a shame but I can understand, for all the reasons you said, you never know what's going on in people's lives. I was hoping to read more in 2014 but my mum was very ill and what with that on my mind and leaving my job for another, I didn't reach my goal either. (My mum is alright now, by the way, touch wood it continues that way!)
Do you live near a beach then? I am a 5 minutes walk from Bournemouth beach. I am on the cliff-top. smile
Happy Birthday in advance for the 16th! Will you be treating yourself to anything special?
Wow! I certainly could not read as many books as you have got going on! I haven't heard of any of those that you had mentioned. "Among the Mermaids" sounds like something I would pick up. I am reading a story or two now and then from Murgunstrumm and Others by Hugh B. Cave (a horror anthology of his works) and Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. mrgreen
Hoping this lengthy message finds you well! smile

On an unrelated note, have you seen the Gaia status I posted earlier this month? It was originally rhetorical, but it would be nice if one of my Gaia friends actually gave me her input.

Yes, I finished making the changes earlier (though I had to do it all from home, and working from home is slower). Otherwise I wouldn't be on here right now, talking to you. razz

It was this enclosure design I was working on, which was tedious already because it was landing a bore in the middle of a curve (which is inconvenient, to say the least). After I finished it, I was told to change the angles involved to make it easier to manufacture, and therefore be less likely to fit improperly.

Doing well, though I was a tad frustrated earlier this evening for having to redo something at work (which I already spent significant time on).
