I like to pretend i'm listened to, that I make my own decisions, that my opinion matters. I like to pretend that people i spend my time helping will help me back.

I like to pretend I'm always happy, I like to pretend that I feel safe, and that I don't have to lie to make people happy.

I like to pretend that i'm in control of my destiny, and that I can make my own decisions. I like to pretend that no matter what i'll be strong, and that i'll never cry.

I like to pretend I can say "no" to something, no matter how much it hurts me. I like to pretend that every time my parents brag about me they're right.

When people say i have an active imagination, I smile. I know they don't care either way, so I just let them tread on me. Afterall, it's nice to believe isn't it...?
