Character
Dominick Lynch
200 or so Years Old
Vampire
Dominick has long, dark hair that, at often times, falls into her face, covering her features from the surrounding world. She has dark eyes, but when stared into one would see a glint of light, which does nothing to reveal what she is on the inside. Her tone is rather pale, with a small fleck of color, hardly enough to make her look normal. She stands about 5'10" and has a slim build, although she is rather menacing when walking towards one in a dark alley. Her normal attire consists of the color black, normally a dress and a type of overcoat.
It was somewhere in the late 1700s to the early 1800s in England whenever Dominick Lynch was born. Born to say, sired, or made into what she is today. She does not remember much from her life as a mortal. The main thing that lasts in her memory is the man who changed her. His name was Silas and she was in love with him. She met him one night in a dark alley. Things were tough with her family situation, that she does remember, so she was working on the streets to make money. It was a dangerous job and she probably had a thousand diseases from it, but she had to do it to help her family. Anyways, Silas came to her one night and told her that she shouldn't be doing what she was doing. She offered herself to him, but he refused any favors and gave her the money. Each night thereafter, when she would go to the streets, he would take her from the streets and give her money just to spend time with him. They talked of things like books and poetry. Silas was a sweet man. After a few weeks, he went to her parents to ask her hand in marriage. He promised Dominick that he would save her from her horrible life, and pay off her family to ensure they would not harm her younger siblings with the street life. Her parents agreed to a large sum of money for their eldest daughter's hand.
Silas took her away from her family the night after he paid them off. He did as he had promised, and saved her. They had a big white wedding with Silas's family, or what Dominick thought to be his real family. She had wondered why he had never wanted to 'love' her. She found out the night of their wedding exactly why. He sat her down and calmly explained what he was and that he would not risk her getting harmed by him losing control in the heat of passion. Dominick had begged him to change her, so that she could be with him forever, but he refused. He loved her and he did not want to change her; he wanted her to be able to experience the sensations of the world. But the diseases she had contracted from her days on the street were beginning to take their toll on her. He took her to a doctor who said she would die within a few weeks, if not days. He thought about it really hard and discussed it with his family, and the verdict was clear. He had to change her. He could not let her die at such an early age because of her parents. He changed her. The transformation took little time. Dominick does not even remember any pain suffered. She remembered waking up and feeling different.
Dom's senses were heightened, her features had changed. Her skin was smoother, almost flawless, and her eyes had turned black. Her hair was no longer raggedy. For the first time in her life, she felt beautiful and it was because of Silas that she felt beautiful. Within a few days of waking up from the coma like state that went along with her changing, they finally made love. That very night, Silas left her alone in their home. She woke up to an empty bed, something she was not accustomed to since their wedding. She searched the house but found no sign of him, not even a sign that he was gone for good. Maybe he's gone out for something, she had thought. But he never returned. She waited and waited for a years, but he never returned. Her love for him fueled the growing anger in her frozen heart. She hated him. She wanted to rip him apart for promising her the world and then leaving her.
After burning their home, she left in a fury. It seemed as if his entire coven had up and left in that one night. She had been taught how to satisfy her thirst, through humans, but now she refused to taste another mortal's blood. She thirsted for something deeper, the blood that created her into this.. this.. thing that she had becomed. She has been searching for nearly 200 years now, for Silas. She has used her tracking skills, and gotten onto his trail quite a few times. However, she is always too late. She has taken time to settle down in a few places, just for a short while. She has not feasted on human blood. She finds herds of livestock and feeds off of those.
