So I found this blog -
(You should show this link to your mom; she'll love it)

But, yeah, I can definitely relate to it. I used to be terrified of cats, because when I was younger, I was studying at a friend's house, and his cat scratched him on the nose.
From that day I saw cats as evil, mean, and vicious creatures until I found this tiny, helpless infant kitten in the parking lot at my school apartment (which I had almost run over with my car :!).

At first, I thought it was a mouse, or a rat, so I was surprised and terrified (I am afraid of catching diseases). I then realized that it was a little kitten, and I just fell in love with it.
But my own cowardice took over me and I was just so afraid of getting fleas or ticks or worms or toxoplasma or parasites that I left him alone (but I called the office to ask someone to come take him).

But, they never did. I finally realized that I wanted to rescue the kitten, but when I went back out

He was gone. cry
