Anyway, you can call me Soracha.
I'm a junior in college studying anthropology (specializing in archaeology). NO I do not want to dig up dinosaurs (paleontology). I love history... especially medieval, renaissance, and baroque periods.
Besides that I also study Japanese. I've taken Japanese classes for the past few years so I'm not fluent, but I can have a conversation with a 3 year old and not sound like an idiot.
For fun I re-enact at renaissance faires in a guild, play the mandolin, go to museums, and do a lot of other nerdy things. Even so, I managed to find a boyfriend and we've been dating for the past 5 years (so at least I'm doing something right).
That being said I'm not on here a lot, but when I'm bored I somehow always find my way back here.

I also find archaeology really interesting. I actually started out majoring in that, and then switched because I thought there would be more opportunities in anthropology. A bit more of a broad subject, you know?
Well, good luck with your schooling! I just wanted to say hi because it was the first time I saw a fellow anthropologist major on Gaia.

What do you plan on doing with it? I'm in my second year, and I still don't know exactly what I'd like to do, probably ethnography of some sort. We'll see!
