Um.. I'd rather hope so. I'd have to guess she was- we were together until she 'died'. Never did anything bad to her, so I guess Mr. Friend is going to stay where he is.

It could possibly be a virus that is so new it got past my firewall - we'll see. I tried CHKDSK and it thought all was fine. And no, didn't get the blue screen. It just first started normally then when the Windows logo appeared it'd auto-restart to before that screen again, ad infinitum. I can still do F8 and other bits to try to check the settings, but don't like to mess with those, so I'll see if I can get the techie to take a look at it. Thanks for the info, though! biggrin
