I agree to your definition of the "no time" excuse, but that's exactly how some of those people get me to do what they want me to do for them: They're whining about them being not important enough. Granny for instance is SO SO good at that. gonk

Yeah true, those silicone pacifiers last longer than the rubber ones, but the problem of the bits that have been bitten out is that they might be swallowed by the kid, and I doubt that this would be very healthy. I've heard that you should replace them as soon as you notice any cracks (even if they're small).

By any definition? Hmmm... I admit there are much older people around. xd
But those internet pages like Gaia or games like Fiesta tend to make me feel old, since most of the people that you meet there are so much younger.
On Fiesta I met a few people who were 12, and one even said he was 9. Not sure if that was true though. xd But at that time, I felt ancient. At the same time, I thought "Awwwww kjoot... you're a BABY! <3" rofl

I've heard the "I'm sooo busy" thing too occasionally, and I agree that it can make you feel bad. The problem is, those people know that too well. rolleyes

Yup I can understand that. 3nodding As of now, those two (Fiesta and Gaia) are consuming my whole free time... and a large part of the time that isn't even free in the first place. sad

Yeah those would be really good reasons to buy and use that silicone stuff, but I always distrusted those silicone baking forms for the heating reason. I was kind of afraid they would melt or something. xd

Hmmm... I don't know about the silicone pacifiers of today, but at that time, it could happen. I really really hope they changed that. In all honesty though... the general feel of those things isn't that good. I for one wouldn't want to put a silicone pacifier into my mouth if I were a toddler. razz

Hehe... no worries. That's what geezers like myself are for: to remind the youngins about the good (or sometimes not so good) old times. wink

Of course it's best when you can do those things by yourself. Especially if it's not even enough to poke people to do them for you, but instead you need to poke them day after day... after day... after day... and the always say "Yeah okayyyyy... I'll do it tomorrow". stare

Hehe yeah, finishing those things is difficult that way. I can't decide on just one class either, that's why I have so many (too many) characters on Fiesta.

Ohhh finally someone else who doesn't trust that silicone stuff. xd I started to find it suspicious when I watched my little sibs biting little crumbs of it out of their pacifiers and their teats, before we decided to use only those that were made of rubber. Now I'm trying to convince my (by now grown-up and a mother herself xd ) sis of that, but she loves that the silicone stuff is so easily cleanable. rolleyes

LOL So true, so true. Unless the "theme" of the show isn't of any particular interest to me, I don't really watch them anyway. I only see bits and parts while switching the channels. wink

However, I don't think just locking your comp with a password would keep anyone else from using your wireless... confused

I can understand that very well. I probably would have done the same, the only problem being to find someone who'd do it for me. rolleyes Most likely, in the end I'd have to do it myself, but sure as hell I would have thrown lots of kleenex/rags on it and pick it up using a piece of cardbox or something...

Hehe sure, concentrating on one class only would be easier on the brain... but think about the possibilities that all the different class abilities would provide for your character. You could shoot (or cast spells on) monsters from far away like an archer or mage, then heal your crew members like a cleric, then dash forward and slash the mobs like a warrior tank. Versatility to the max... and ftw. xd

Hehe... the problem about that wireless stuff is that the computer savvy people in my family insist that it's either a) too dangerous concerning being spied out or b) too prone to be infiltrated by people who don't want to pay for their internet access. I personally think they're paranoid... rolleyes But in the end it means no wireless for me. sad

YUCK! gonk I'm happy that I never had to remove something like THAT... sweatdrop Because it was always me who had to clean up those things. Everyone else was apparently too sensitive for that. Mind you, once my sis (whose appartment is just on the other side of the street) asked me to remove a nestling that has fallen out of its nest and lay dead on her balcony. rolleyes

Don't worry, so far I only bookmarked them. wink Maybe I might try them out when I have become totally bored and/or annoyed of Fiesta... but that might take a while. wink
You're right with the classes though. The more you can choose for one character, the more you want. Like, a lvl 90 mage/wizard/archer/cleric/fighter/thief/assassin would surely be nice, wouldn't it? lol

Yeah that's possible. Apparently (I didn't see them all) the different seasons are like... years apart. If I remember correctly, he even had been fired in between.

As far as I remember, there were scenes when Jack was in prison/held captive/unconscious, and they always showed what the other persons were doing in the meantime, with only short cuts of Jack, as if they wanted to say "see, he's STILL there..."

Music snobs, right! I can't see the point in liking a band only when it's not widely known. A few years ago, my sis was SOO fond of Green Day, but only until they gained fame. "Ewwww they're in the charts now!" She has an explanation for that of course: "Once they're in the charts, their music becomes mainstream." That might even be true in some cases, but still...

*nodnod* I've had a laptop before, but it still had the internet cable. I SO wanted to get wireless, but noooo... rolleyes Especially in summer I would have been happy if I could have used it on the terrace instead of sitting in the house. sad

Yeah it was like that for us too when we still had cats. The only mice that I've ever seen back then were the ones that our cats had caught, and most of them weren't even alive any more. Even worse: most of them we only found... you know... partly. sweatdrop

I'm not sure yet if I should try that game out. Just in case I'd decide to do it, I've bookmarked their homepage. xd
Dungeons & Dragons Online? eek That sounds like the grandfather of MMORPGs. *checks* Funny enough, that's not even close to be true. WoW is even 2 years older. Either way, D&D Online sounds interesting too. I like the fact that you can join several classes and don't have to choose only one. *bookmarks as well* whee

You're right, "24" was playing in "real time". I loved that, since it meant that when a person had to drive for 10 minutes to go somewhere, you've seen them in the car for 10 minutes until they got there, but you didn't only see that person, since the perspective changed to other people often enough so it didn't get boring. Plus, that series didn't deal with "real life" in the least. I think poor Jack Bauer didn't get one minute of sleep in all the eight seasons. xd
One episode showing the main guy sleeping? rofl That would be hilarious... but I think many many people would complain. Still, "24" IS supposed to be as close to reality as possible, so it would make perfect sense. 3nodding

Don't worry about being not very well-organized and -informed about music. Neither am I, and I always think that the people who are all that are a bit crazy. xd

I have a few more. xd Those that you mentioned, plus the cords for monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, the internet cable and the phone cable. Not to forget that there is a power supply unit (no idea where it belongs to) and a multiple socket under my desk and an external hard drive on my comp, which add to the cable mess too. rolleyes

sad Seriously. I'm happy that we're feeding the birds at least... and now that the garden is all snowy, we keep the vegetable matter on the terrace until we can put it on the compost pile, and thus our garden mice often find some nice things. xd We use to watch them jumping in an out of the basket and dragging away potato peels or the like. xd As for the "keeping warm" part... we have a shed for the firewood, and they made themselves comfortable there. 3nodding

Hmmmm... never heard about that game. Maybe I should take a look at it... but then again, I might be tempted to install it. sad You're right though, people like those are annoying as hell. That might mean that in the end I don't want to install it any more. xd
