Why Everyone Loves Me

My name is David.

Boring name. I'll buy a new one once I wear this one out.

I'm nice. I swear. I don't bite unless I'm told and most of the people I talk to seem to like me. Then again, they might just be so afraid of me that they can't tell me otherwise, but the end result is the same. =^_^=

I'm not very good with computers. Hence, the boring profile. Sure I could just use one that someone else made, but that's not my style. Thus, I'm writing this overly long 'about me' to compensate.

I talk to myself. Why? Because I'm the only company that I always have. Unfortunately, I piss myself off a lot, so if we ever meet and I randomly say "Shut up!" or something, I'm talking to myself.

I like bunnies. Particularly, I like purple bunnies. Like the stuffed purple bunny whom I carry with me frequently. He's nice and cuddly and a great listener, but he can be cold and unfeeling. Don't let it get to you though. His purpose in life is to comfort you.

I try to speak Japanese, but I fail usually. I can't read or write it, but I know a few common words and phrases. I can watch a random episode of an average anime without subtitles and not get lost, but I won't catch everything either.

On that note, I love anime. Generally, though, not the type that most American guys I've met like. I love things like Nana and Honey and Clover. I've wasted a surprising amount of my life watching anime. I've watched over 100 (and counting) complete series in almost every genre. My favorite tend to be the romance type Josei anime, but I'll watch anything once. *secretsecret* I'm also a BL / shounen-ai fan.

That's all I can think of right now. I'll add more later, probably.

Super Happy Fun Profile Revamp Time!!!

So... the astute stalker-ish types may notice that the above section has suddenly decreased in size significantly. Do not be alarmed. This is a natural occurrence, and recent studies suggest it should be temporary. We now return you to your regularly scheduled... whatever the hell this thing is. ^_^

Some interesting changes that have happened in my life recently...

An ex-something of sorts has started living with me, and consequently my stress levels have driven what bits of sanity I normally cling to into hiding deep in the mountains. All sorts of fun, that has been. Yes ma'am.

I've been looking into some interesting employment opportunities. Hopefully, they'll pan out. If not, I have alternatives. Unfortunately, the better ones involve a slight risk of being blown up, so I'll just hope I don't have to use any plan labeled with a letter after 'B'.

My strange talent for finding women who like me, but are taken or otherwise unavailable, has left my humor reserves, let us say, a little dry. Salt basin in the Atacama Desert dry. I'm soldiering through somehow, though. The Pacific has got to be around here somewhere...

My bunny needs a bath. I know this is information that at least 1 person out there can't live without, so there you have it.

And finally, I smell like boy. I just settled down after a bit of exercise, so I am now quitting to go primp and preen and otherwise clean myself up.

Good night, everyone. I love you all as much as I love a good pinot noir and a nice bit of dark chocolate. That is to say, you're lovely and all, but you're too hard on my wallet to enjoy with any level of regularity.

Update again. Aren't they lovely?

I'm sitting down with that bottle of noir like I said I love to do... but I have no chocolate to go with it. It's torture I say... TORTURE! ...Okay, actually it's quite pleasant. And I'm glad to have some 'me time' for once. Go me!

Unlike last time, I smell very nice at the moment. I'm just upset that I have to find a new fragrance now, since I'm now seeing TV ads for Armani Code. Now all the guys will smell like me. NOT COOL. They've already got my name. Leave my scent alone! It wasn't the most uncommon thing before, but it'll be everywhere a la Di Gio very soon, I'm sure. Blech.

Everything else is as usual. For the most part. At least, as usual as it ever gets, nowadays.

That's it for now. Remember, now; I love you like I love cuddling with kittens. i.e. I'll be fine with you at first, but then you'll get all clingy and shed on me and I'll be forced to shove you off of the couch.

Well, I've got a glass of Cabernet, a break from work and concerts, a cooperative computer, and time to kill. Update time.

Well, it's about time I added a bit to this thing, isn't it?

Most of the above information is no longer relevant. But I shall leave it in place. For posterity. Or something that closely resembles a Picasso painting of posterity from a distance when you turn your head sideways and squint.

I generally only have access to a computer once a week now, and until that situation improves my participation in any given site activity will be erratic at best. I wish it was otherwise, so that I could re-attain my status as a WG regular, respond to peoples comments and PMs, and otherwise not have a life. I mean... socialize using this advanced and highly cosmopolitan digital forum. Alas, it is not yet to be.

My boss is now almost able to crawl, but he mostly just rolls around on the floor until he reaches what it is he wants. And he has a liking for Doo-wop, German lieder, and show tunes. I wish I was kidding.

I can't really think of anything more to say at the moment, but I'm sure there's more. Don't count on it being posted anytime soon, though.

Until that unknown, far off day, be comforted with this knowledge:
I love you like I love my .22 rifle. Ergo, I usually have no use for you, and only pull you off the shelf when you need lubed up, or when I feel like fondling you.
