About
My username is
Ali Myrrh Kim. You can call me Ali, Kim, AK, AMK, Kimmy, Ali-chan, Ali-san, etc..
I'm a yaoi otaku who likes to laze, read, come to gaia, etc.. I love reading yaoi fanfics, I don't read much yuri because I never find any of it, but I think I'd like that too. I love lots of animes.
I have a bad habit of forgetting things... like, if you PM me, I'll read it, tell myself to respond a little later, and then keep forgetting about it! Sometimes things totally slip my mind until I see them again, and sometimes I think I posted something already when I haven't. Sorry if that happens to you!
I tend to hang out in guilds most, not so much in forums. I hate it when things move too fast for me to keep track of, and even Gaia's slowest forums move much too fast for me. I'm not much one for poll guilds or SPAM guilds, though poking in them every now and then can be fun. I also own my own guild, called
Our*Place. I worked very hard on setting it up, but maintaining it tends to be messy for me, as I'm not good with responsibilities like that ^^; . Check it out if you can please!
I tend to be long-winded and go on when posting, sorry about that. I like literacy, but am OK with illiteracy as long as they have a good reason for it.
I like to draw and write, though I'm not very good. I'd love to be a mangaka or novelist, though I don't think I'm cut out for those jobs.
I like to use Japanese suffix with people's names a lot, and what sorts of suffix I use for a person depends on my relationship with them; I don't just tag on any old suffix I can think of. However, I do realize that the way I use them tends to be unparalleled with how the Japanese use them; I might change that one day so my suffix-usage is more accurate, but for now I just feel comfortable doing it my own way. Here's how it basically works out for me:
-san = For most people that I don't know very well or am not entirely close to, but it's respectful. If I'm your friend and I call you this, I probably don't actually chat with you directly too much.
-kun = Used mainly for boys, this shows that I consider you a friend! I feel comfortable with you and/or I really consider you a great guy.
-chan = Same as '-kun' except for with girls, you're my friend or I feel comfortable chatting with you and I think you're cool.
-sama = Ooh, VERY hard to get this suffix from me! Means I have a WHOLE lot of respect and reverence for you, and I think you're the coolest ******** s**t on the planet. I worship you.
Yobisute = Means that I don't use a suffix with you at all; I either am
really close to you, have met you for the first time and called you by your full name, forgot it (unlikely), or hate your guts and am showing ill-will. You should probably be able to figure out which one of those it is ;P .
Nicknames = Sometimes I'll shorten your name if it's long, or initialize it, or maybe even think up a way to slightly alter your name or something for me to be more comfortable with. This is normal and happens to most people with long names or names I find too formal to address you with.
Yup, I also use lots of mixes of Japanese, 'net slang, etc. in my writing. But other than those quirks, I'm pretty literate.
Hm, dunno' what else to say for now...
