I'm Sending Out a Message to Myself



So a generic run down of me:

I'm a homeschooled/unschooled student that is hoping to graduate high school this Summer and start community college this Fall. The town I live in is crazy in the middle of nowhere, but it can sometimes be comforting.. When it's not driving me insane.

I play rhythm guitar as my main instrument, and am studying bass guitar with a minor bit of piano. I'm always working on my singing. Music is a vital thriving part of my veins. Because of this, I am working to expand my musical theatre horizons. I want to learn drums, alto sax, violin, cello, lute.. Pretty much anything I can, actually.
~ List of styles I play: Classic rock, Alternative Rock, Blues Rock, "Chick" Rock, Punk Rock, "New Age"/Celtic, lil' bit o' Jazz, Classic Disney (Hey, you know what? Shut up), Some broadway, straight up blues, rockabilly, surf, and pretty much anything I am inspired to.

I'm an illustrator with a focus in character design and development, but I sometimes dabble in graphic design, typography, macrame jewelry, sculpture, beadwork, and other mediums. Samples can be found at here and here if for some reason you're interested.

I have this thing for piercings now. Currently I have two sets of 16mm in each lobe. I hope to extend this to three sets by summer '10, and stretch one to 10mm for a talon set. Theoretical piercings include 18mm nose ring, 14mm cartilage CBR on the right side, and maybe lip rings.. maybe.

I'm obsessed with RENT and Wicked, Melissa Etheridge and Joan Jett are my icons, I think Annie Lennox should be everyone's hero, I adore Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks will always be special to me, Bonnie Raitt made me determined to learn guitar, and anyone who likes music should at least respect The Beatles.
