So I'm Aglo. Ignore the capital 'i' over there, it's only because Aglo on its own has been taken before my glorious arrival. So I thought I would be clever and make my username "Aglo the First". As for the word 'aglo' itself, it's an old Baltic word for 'rain', which I came across in one of my Lithuanian textbooks years ago. Stuck to me ever since.
Around Gaia, you will most often find me in the Word Game's forum, Real Life Fashion & Style, or the Mini Shops sub-forums. As well as my all time favourite guild - The UnderGaia.
I live in South East England, but I haven't always lived on the isles.
I was born and raised in Lithuania, in a Russian speaking family. But growing up I realised that it's not the country for me. So September 3rd, 2009 I grabbed my laptop, £200, left everyone back home and set off to London. During my first night, I cried like a baby and wanted to go home already.
It's been quite a ride since then. I'm now very much settled in this gorgeous country, and plan on getting my citizenship in a couple more years. I only return back to the Baltics for family and holiday. I do miss the snow, I have to say. Screw anyone that says snow is horrible. SNOW IS AWESOME. You are just not cool enough (no pun intended) to enjoy it properly.
So what do I like to do with my life? A little bit of everything, I guess. I work as a barista for a living. Which is a job I'm sure everyone has done at some point in their lives B) I like to think I'm good at it, but it's not something I want to be stuck doing all my life.
What would I like to do long term? I have far too many ideas. Most of them involve running my own little empire. Preferably something with creativity or animals. I guess I enjoy too many things ^-^;;
So what things do I enjoy in my life?
Tabletop games, fantasy books, comics, video games, walking, cycling, hiking, re-enactment, LRP, frolicking with the unicorns, cuddling bunnies and dancing with the fairies. When I'm not busy with all of these very important things, I enjoy a bit of photo-modeling as well. It combines my love for art, storytelling and fashion. WIN!
More art in journal entries.
(which should really be updated)
The quiet corner
“There are men who struggle against destiny, and yet achieve only an early grave. There are men who flee destiny, only to have it swallow them whole. And there are men who embrace destiny, and do not show their fear. These are the ones that change the world forever.”
