Now, this is a story all about how
My account got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
Just stay on the wire
I'll tell you how I became blocked from my account on Gaia

On Gaia Online it was born and raised
In Gaia Fishing was where it spent most of its days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And catching some fish in the watery pool
When a couple of glitches
Who were up to no good
Couldn't log in like I usually would
I contacted one friendly mod who usually cared
"Just wait and if you're innocent don't be scared"

I whistled for some attention and others appeared
But all we got was mocking and the occasional sneer
"You wouldn't be blocked if you had behaved here"
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'it's a mistake, that's clear'

I pulled up to Chatterbox about 9 or 10
And I yelled to the others 'Yo we need our accounts again'
I looked at announcements
All that was there
Was them asking us to vote for Gaia on webware!

It's mostly just time consuming really. Aside from figuring out how to make things that already seem simple to me even simpler.

I guess it counts as an undergrad class. It's Intro to Scripting for Bioinformatics and it's basically a prerequisite class for the Bioinformatics Masters degree program for those who don't have any prior programming experience. So I'm essentially trying to teach biologists to be computer programmers. Problem is, there's a real difference between the way biologists approach problems and the way programmers do. I know I learned how to think this way myself once upon a time, but I don't remember how. User Image
