Hello, Gaians. I'm レイチェル・ミルズ and if you're viewing my profile then add me as a friend if you'd like. I'm an ancient 33 years old but I enjoy talking about a diverse range of subjects. Go ahead and strike up a conversation with me about anything. I'm randomly charitable but that doesn't mean I'll give you anything. Sweet talking me may work though...

I'm probably the most laid back hyper person you'll ever meet. I smile and laugh a lot. Maybe because I'm nervous? I dunno. Some people think that I'm overly friendly but I believe in the golden rule so I'll treat you the way I expect you to treat me. Be prepared, therefore, to get a dose of my sarcasm, seething hate, and rage all wrapped up in a pretty little bundle of literary aptitude if you cross me...

In 2006 my mother lost a nearly 2 year battle with kidney cancer. The doctor told her she'd only last 5 months since it was diagnosed as stage 4 but she showed him a thing or 2 about fighting. Something about sleeping in hospitals so Mom would have someone there with her through the night then going to work for 10 hours and doing it all over again time after time gave me a peculiar inner strength. As I watched my mom waste away I grew strong enough to carry her, feed her, wash her, and take care of her during the last 3 months of her life when most people would've opted to put her in a care facility. Then, on November 11th 2006, at 11:31am she crossed over so she could be with her mother. I was suddenly the head of my household and after 3 days I finally let myself cry. Mom made me promise to take care of Dad because she knew he'd fall apart without her. I'm still keeping my promise nearly 6 years later. I wouldn't have it any other way because my family is the most important thing to me in the world.

On a lighter note, I weighed 200lbs after I had my daughter and I was happy to be fat after a life of being underweight but I decided that I wanted to take my health back so in 2010 I started cooking healthy, vegetarian meals and controlling my calorie intake as well as working out. I stuck to my guns and lost 60lbs in 6 months and I've basically kept it off ever since.

I'm a music addict so suggest a band or singer to me and I'll love you for it. Remixes rule my universe. I'm also an avid reader. I enjoy novels, comics, and manga so please share your favorite titles with me so I can nerd out with you. Don't worry about my opinion of your suggestions either. I'm open to pretty much anything.
