wow, i just realized the description of the complex shirt you have on is the definition of the integral. i remember how i used to think it was nonsense, before i knew calculus!
just FYI, MDs are only for medical doctors, hence M and D razz
my friend in TFA is pre-med and could probably get into a ******** fantastic school, if she wanted to, but she's extremely specific about where she wants to go so she's putting off applying to get a better score on the MCAT and more clinical experience. she was an extremely serious, devoted, hardworking student. she says TFA is as stressful as finishing her senior thesis.
you have plenty of time to think about what you want to do. use it well.
he's just doing a Ph.D. in computer science. you don't need a master's (or an MD) before going into a Ph.D. program, at least, not in theory.
what didn't you like about the AP sciences? I didn't take any myself, so what do I know, really, but I'm curious razz
one of my college roommates is doing TFA. it's no cakewalk, I can tell you that.
and what deferring means probably depends on the school and the program, but it has nothing to do with financial support. my deferral basically means that I'm not sure whether or not I want to go to school there, but I can keep my acceptance for next year and decide then.
well thanks. it's a weird and exciting time - I think for me more than for you, now. college is different from high school but it's still very structured. afterwards, it's all you.
something environmental and psychology-ish in the greater DC/Baltimore area razz what exactly I don't know yet, but I'm working on it in an internship. thought about grad school but deferred since the place I got in was on the wrong coast; my boyfriend's doing a Ph.D. around here.
. . . but when I went into school I thought I'd be a policy or English major. granted, I'm not totally divorced from those things, but I'm also more specialized and engaged in psych and enviro now than I was then. leave yourself lots of room to discover new things to love and learn.
