Who Am I?

I know it says this account has been around since 2004, but I disappeared off here for essentially all the time between then and the summer of 2008, so I'm more of a newbie than you would expect.

So, the basics: I am Chelsea. Hi.

Music is my life - I'll listen to anything, even the occasional rap song, but Coldplay is my top band. I'm a total band geek - marching, concert and jazz band, thank you very much.

I'm an astronomy major at Case Western Reserve University, and I'm prone to going off on nerd rants about stars and dark matter and black holes and fun stuff. I love it. I love it enough that I am willingly and gladly putting myself through what will probably be about 9 years of physics, calculus, and banging my head against my desk in frustration. O_O And, this summer I've got my first legitimate research job (!!!) studying the galaxy M101. Yaaaaaay.

I won't bore you with all my likes and dislikes and whatnot, but hey, if you ever feel like talking about whatever (ooh! like books! and music! and nerdy things!), leave a comment or something. I promise I'm nice, and I like talking to people because it makes me feel like less of a loser for having like, 3 friends on here.

I volunteer for both reasons.
Sometimes when I'm done studying there, I do volunteer work.
Other times, it's for a project...
