Free referred to as The Man with the Demon Eye while he was in prison, is a Werewolf from the immortal clan in the series. He constantly says, "Wolf wolves, wolf wolves!" when he is on the verge of unleashing a new spell. This form of chanting is comparable to that of the witches, who also base their spells around certain, similar words and themes. This is comparable to Blair who is also not a witch, yet uses attacks like them, and who shifts between an animal and human form.

Free has a silly personality and almost no sense of direction. His original reason for allowing himself to be locked inside of Witches jail was so he could try digging out of the jail using a spoon like in the movies, and started hitting his head on a tree when Eruka told him of a different yet cliché way of escaping he could have used since meals in the Witches jail were served with chopsticks making his plan fail.

In the manga, he is portrayed as being somewhat protective over Eruka, constantly defending her, and checking on her, as if she was of some importance to him.

Above the left eye Free stole from Mabaa, instead of an eyebrow the words "NOFUTURE" are imprinted. This eye also doesn't feature any pupil or iris, instead having magical symbols in their place. He's almost always in his prison outfit, complete with the ball and chain on his left leg and black and white stripes from the bottom to top. Though usually the top half of the outfit is not present, with just a simple black T-shirt in its place.

In his werewolf form, Free's appearance is that of the typical depication of a werewolf. It features mostly grey fur, with some darker fur present in limited areas, a tail and extended sharp fingernails.
