A damned soul pretending to be human.
Once upon a time, a demon made a deal with a young girl. The girl wanted freedom from an oppressive life. In exchange for this she offered freedom to a creature imprisoned in hell. With the deal made the light of a demon was released on the world. It floated freely for years. Killing and twisting humans any way it wanted to.
Eventually it's actions were noticed by the hunters of this world. Humans who fight to protect the innocent from the evils that would prey on them. The light known in hell as Horehound was very annoyed. More than once it was forced to flee from these hunters. Escaping to save it's own existance.
With anger in it's soul the demon's light set out to make an example of the most vicious hunter that had attacked it. A human by the name of Deathstroke had tracked it into the city of Paris. The light made a plan and set it into motion. Deathstroke found himself unable to find the creature and left to help with an immenant vampire invasion about to take place in the realm of Gaia.
It was during this chaotic war that the hunter fell prey to the demonic force. It trapped him and weakened the human long enough for a vampire to turn him. After realizing what had happened the hunter tried to take his own life. It was then that Demon's Light first took on the body of a human. It forced itself into the hunter and made it live in that cursed state until the soul was consumed and the body fell to peices.
Having grown accustomed to a physical form the light processed another one and then another. When the human host grows to week or starts to fall apart the Demonic light of hell moves on to another host.
Demon's Light has killed without remorse since it came to this world. It has no intention of changing any time soon.
