A Wikipedian Definition:

Harry Houdini (March 24, 1874 – October 31, 1926), whose real name was Erich Weisz, was a Hungarian-American magician, escapologist, stunt performer, as well as an investigator of spiritualists, and an amateur aviator.

In 1894, Weiss became a professional magician, and began calling himself "Harry Houdini" because he was influenced by French magician Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin and his friend Jack Hayman told him that in French adding an "i" to Houdin would mean "like Houdin" the great magician. In later life Houdini would claim that the first part of his new name, Harry, was a homage to Harry Kellar, whom Houdini admired a great deal. However, it's more likely Harry derived naturally from his nickname "Ehrie." Initially, his magic career resulted in little success, though he met fellow performer Wilhelmina Beatrice (Bess) Rahner in 1893, and married her three weeks later. For the rest of his performing career, Bess would work as his stage assistant.

A Real Definition:

I've finally decided to put some stuff about myself on here! o.O

I won't really place my name out for the world to see, eh? x3 Anyways, I'm sixteenseventeen, graduated high school and starting life rather early. I'm going to college this year, going to be a teacher and not turning into a lazy bum for the rest of my life.

As for dreams after college... I want to either be an english or art teacher. ^^

I love penguins, literature, history, books, Ragnarok Online, musicals, pandas, anime, art, colored pencils, clothes, Gunbound, weird music, Pushing Daisies, meeting other people, fashion, learning about other cultures, school and movies.

My fascination for history led me to construct a little wall of faces right there. I'm going to add more faces if I have time. >>>
