Basic Information
I suppose most people on gaia would, at this point, call me Ichiru. Or Kiryuu, but I prefer Ichiru. My passions are music and manga. I also enjoy cooking, writing, designing clothes, drawing and cosplaying. If I'm not on the computer, I may be partaking in one of these activities, doing schoolwork, being forced to play rock band by my mother, or getting sick. I must have the most pathetic immune system ever, along with the worst sinuses, and a whole bunch of other junk. I'm constantly getting ill, so please forgive me if i randomly disappear without forewarning, or start typing things that make no sense. It's best to ignore it.

I tend to loose interest in things easily, and become extremely giddy when I'm exhausted. I consider myself to be very goal oriented, but this also means I'm easily depressed if I fail, and tend to ramble on about the same subject for hours on end. Some previous experiences left me with unusually low self esteem, so if I take something in a way you didn't mean it and over react, I apologize for that. It also means I end up apologizing for everything, and I end up caving to arguments on the drop of a pin. On the plus side, I guess it means I'm open minded and entirely willing to admit when I'm wrong.

I have a pet cat who is determined to someday kill me, after lulling me into submission by acting adorable. Her name is Spunky and... it suits her.

I currently have no steady job, (but I bake for my parents friends to make cash when I need it), and am home-schooled.

On Anime and Manga

((Not updating this section as of recent.))

Currently watching Gurren Lagann and Code Geass as they air ther respective dubs. Attempting to catch up to Nabari no Ou (I'm on episode 13), and Soul Eater (On episode 6). I'm looking forward to Skip Beat airing next season, and plan to look into Kuroshitsuji when it starts. But I keep getting distracted by being sick! And somehow in the meantime, I've started watching ToraDora as something that isn't square enix but is still new to me. (Probably because with Soul Eater and Nabari, if I start watching, I end up marathoning, and I just don't have the time for marathoning.)

I'm pretty good at predicting the series that I'm going to get into, even at first glance. I never stop being a fan of any series I start unless it does something seriously wrong. I'm more inclined to drop an anime than I am a manga, because I never feel like I have enough time to sit down and watch a show, but I have plenty of time to read when I can take books with me on errands and such.

I tend to choose my favorite characters based upon their design rather than their personality these days. I blame cosplay for this, because it works in a chain reaction. When you think a costume looks cool, you decide to make it. Once you wear it, and having put in a lot of effort, you feel slightly more connected to that character than the others. Even planning to make a certain costume can produce this effect, and it results in me having some favorite characters I wouldn't otherwise like.

On Regulat TV:

Becuase I've been doing through a spell of the worst allergies in my life (why thank you, polution in the area) I've gotten into a lot of shows on normal television because too often than I like, I don't feel up to sitting at a desk and reading subtitles. I like House MD, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. I think I'll be making a habit out of watching Fringe. The Colbert Report and The Daily Show are also two of my two joys in life. (I'm a total politics nerd.)
