About
A Simple Wish
The year has gone by,
So quickly it seems.
I can hardly believe it,
It feels like a dream.
Summer has gone,
Winter is here.
The earth is at rest,
For the coming new year.
The skeletons have been traded,
Replaced with bells and holly,
Fangs and warts have transformed,
Into cheeks so rosy and jolly.
Santa is coming soon,
As all children know,
With a sleigh full of presents,
Each wrapped with a bow.
The parents are panicking,
Buying last minute gifts,
That their dear, lovely children,
Forgot to put on their lists.
While deep in their hearts,
The young and the old,
Are making their holiday wishes,
Waiting for them to be told.
Wishes for love or a reunion,
For clothes or a Wii,
For that last pair of special boots,
Or lots of gifts beneath the tree.
My own Christmas wish is,
To me, simple enough.
I don't want manga or games,
Or any material stuff.
This Christmas my heart,
Only yearns for one thing.
It shouts loud and clear,
As the carolers start to sing.
On December 25th,
In the midst of celebrations,
I want the world to pause,
And join thoughts on this occasion.
I want the world to realize,
Even if for only a day,
We're not all that different,
No matter what people say.
I want the world to think,
Of the experiences they've had,
Every single experience,
No matter how good or bad.
I want the world to think,
Of the happiness in their life,
Of the love and devotion,
The sadness and strife.
Then I want the world to think,
Of another they know,
Who experienced the same feelings,
Hours, days, or even years ago.
I want the world to think of a person,
Known to that other,
Then someone close to that one,
Their friend or their brother.
I want the world to continue,
From friend to friend's friend,
Until it sees how small the world is,
Since the list never ends.
I want the world to see,
How thin the barriers are,
Between them and someone else,
In a country far.
Then I want the world to send,
Through their hearts or the net,
A small, simple message,
To someone they've never met.
From the depth of their hearts,
I want them to say,
“Merry Christmas, brother,
on this most joyful day.”
My wish is for unity,
For this day at the least,
During the party and presents,
The games and the feast.
Let the world for one day,
Join in thought together,
And be united as one,
Even if it can't last forever.

The Innermost Thoughts of a Yaoi Addict
Just something I will write my thoughts in, or plots for my stories, or new poems, or anything else I want to put in here. I might even decide to put excerpts of my fics in here.
