History: Hotaru is a very determined and bubbily child. People tend to like her more often than not. She is very smart for her age when in battle, but she tends to be a little gullible. When Hotaru was around four years old, she used to life in a forest with her parents in a small hut on the outskirts of Barton town. She was happy back then, as she was now and lived a simple life with her parents. She never knew what her parents did as a living since they never discussed their occupations in front of her, but she was never all that interested to begin with. She preferred to play with random animals outside. One day, her mom seemed to be a little more nervous than usual and put Hotaru in a closet. Her mom made her promise to not leave the closet until someone came to get her, and just like that her parents were gone. The two of them would never be seen by Hotaru again, and to this day she does not know what happened to them. Unknown to Hotaru, her parents were both assassins and pretty good ones to boot. Her father's name was Hei Minomi. He was an ice demon that specialized in ice based weapons. His speed and power were not well known, even though he was good at what he did. Her mother's name was Azusa Minomi. She was a human, but her skills with guns were nothing to be laughed at. Apparently, they had gone into hiding when Hotaru was born and only did a few low profile jobs to keep food on the table. They more or less wanted to live a peaceful life with their baby girl.
On the day they disappeared, they had recieved a tip that some of their old enemies were on their trail and heading for the hut. Not wanting to put Hotaru in danger, they hid her in the closet and went out to take care of the thread before their home could be found. Unfortunatly, they were not strong enough to survive that battle. No one knew about Hotaru's existance, so no one bothered to look for their hut after they had died. After Hotaru leaft the closet, she began to search for her parents and eventually ended up in Barton Town. For years the gril survived off of the kindness of others. Not many people leave a little girl to wander on her own. Hotaru stayed unaware of the ice demon blood in her for a long time.
When she was about seven years old, Hotaru met a men named Shikamaru. He said that he would be responsible for taking care of her, as ironic as that was. She followed the man to a strange village called Konoha and began to learn skills in thr ninja world. She made many friends in the village and her unusual skills were noticed by many of the people around her. Of course, she never really noticed her unusual skills. Shikamari along with Temari sort of took up the roles of her parents and the girl began to slowly forget about her search for them. Currently she is a genin that specalizes in ice jutsu. Thanks to Sasuke messing around in her mind, she is vaguely aware of her demon blood but she has yet to pay much attention to it.
