In the live action version, "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon", Aino Minako is presented as a somewhat jaded, overly-focused, and distant character, probably the greatest modification to her original personality. She is an incumbent idol, and is very famous. Usagi, Ami and Makoto are all fans of her music. Minako also takes on the role of decoy much like her manga counterpart, calling herself Princess and claiming to possess the Ginzuishou in order to protect the real princess, who is Usagi. In some ways this is also a more respectful portrayal of Sailor Venus, since the anime tended to overplay her ditzy attitude and downplay her role as a leader. While the live action has done away with much of this playfulness there are hints of it, at the very least, when she interacts with her partner, Artemis, to whom she is closest out of all the characters.
