i miss when innocence was not overrated, and when ignorance was. when the word ’perfect’ wasn’t described to use some convenient commodity. when people actually thought before they spoke. when kids knew what it meant to show respect. when people had consciences, and not just guilty ones. when good taste actually mattered. when morals existed. when people didn’t have to work constantly for happiness. when people didn’t thrive on pity and praise. when the silly things were fun; not when fun things were silly (does that mean that fun things being silly is fun? excuse my paradox) when hypocrisy was recognized, instead of advertised.
