About
I like halushki. And orange bean-bag chairs. Yep.
I am, and probably always will be, a comic nerd. Spider-Man, Doctor Strange...I just can't get enough of it. I believe that Cheez-Its are only slightly less addicting than cigarettes. Music is my happy place. (It's sort of odd referring to Oingo Boingo as a 'happy place,' but whatever.) I'm a little on the strange side, but I like to tell myself it's a loveable kind of weirdness.
Random Comic Stuff: It is, inevitably, time to talk about The Dark Knight. I didn't like it. It wasn't exciting, the Joker didn't click for me, and it seemed overplayed and ridiculous. But that's not the point. What's really pissing me off is the rabid Bat-newbs who tell me that my opinion is inferior. (Seems like an oxymoron, right?) One guy actually told me that I'm not a "real fan" because -- and this is a direct quote, mind you -- "200,000 people on IMDB say it's the best movie of all time." He seems to think that majority rules should apply to matters of individual preference. What is this, a George Orwell novel? I respect each person's right to form their own opinion, and make it a point to listen. After explaining my own reasons for not enjoying TDK, I asked this obnoxious protozoan to explain why he liked it. He said, "Because it's awesome. Everyone else liked it." Watching a movie and enjoying it for intellectual or entertainment value is one thing. But, my God, people! If you're going to act like lemmings, don't try to force it on the rest of us! Crawl back into your holes, hype slaves. And unless you have something intelligent to say, stay out of my ******** face.
