In which I ramble on about myself

Despite the fact that my avatar is male, and frequently dressed in more masculine clothes, I am in fact female. A tomboy, yes, but female nonetheless.

I also love my doggy. :3

When you're a baby, you want to explore the world. You touch things, you see everything as magic, you are amazed when your parent's face peeks out at you from behind their hands, you learn something new every day and you remember it.

When you're a toddler, you cover yourself with a blanket and think you're invisible to the world. You learn more new vocabulary words in a day than a high school student wants to learn in a week. You see a tall, skinny glass and think it holds more than a short, fat glass because it's taller.

When you're older, you begin to see why people do good things even though they could get punished for it. You begin to see the tricks behind the magic, you learn that problems have more than one solution.

When you reach adolescence, you feel like the world is watching you. Every mistake you make stays with you and you feel alone. How could anyone understand what you're going through, with your friends betraying you and your teachers telling you how much depends on some facts in a stupid book?

When you finish puberty and graduate from high school, you begin to feel like you can relate to other people. You see just how badly your judgment was skewed by hormones, and you realize that your parents really did go through some of the same bullshit you did. You meet people your age who care less about your favorite band than the way you treat your friends and family, your rivals and enemies, your teachers and classmates.

When you go to college and take a human development course, you see the truth in this. Don't believe me? Find a Kindergartner, pour the same amount of water in two tall cups, then pour one cup into a small, fat cup and ask which cup has more water. Watch young children playing hide-and-seek. Ask yourself, how did Twilight get so popular with teenagers? Edward Cullen's apparent sexiness can only explain so much, after all.
