And yes, I made the entire layout myself in MS Paint. I know that it seems hard to believe, but it helps if you realize that about the most you can do in Paint is edit someone else's images. You figure Microsoft would have updated their program by now! I can't wait for the day that I get my hands on Photoshop or Coral, you know?But enough about that. I assume you desire to know more about me, myself and I. Well, where to begin? Ah, I believe I know.

The 'man' behind the mask:
Well, one would expect with the name 'The Dark Gentleman,' that I would, of course, be male. Well, this just isn't the case. In the real world, I am, in fact, a 20 year old female. [*gasps from the crowd*] Yes, to whatever shock or horror that information may be recieved, I doubt I would benefit much from lying to all of you. Originally this character of mine was based upon my roleplay persona. However, over time it began to evolve into something much more, something uniquely it's own. And believe it or not, I'm not 'gothic' in real life. I despise labels in general, actually. If you were to meet me, you'd find that my appearence is quite normal. Since my character on Gaia is male, I would appreciate it if you would use the male pronoun when addressing me on the forums, but in PMs I care not how you address me. Some of you might ask, "Ungh! How can you play as a guy? That's so weird!" To which I reply, "So, do not authors play as their characters when they write? Should these people only play as characters who share the same gender as they? Should you limit me to the stereotypes of my gender?" I certainly think not! One of my favorite authors, Anne Rice, has many male characters who are just as convincing, if not more so, than their female counterparts. I simply can not see why I could not do the same here.
As for my sexual orientation:
I am, in fact, straight, yet my character is bisexual. Who am I to limit him from having 'fun' with whomever he chooses? Despite this, I DO NOT CYBER. It's rather disturbing, to say the least. I may flirt and make jokes, but that's all you're getting from these pixels. I am currently single in real life, and I am NOT looking at the moment. I sincerely apologize to all my fans and stalkers, haha. Maybe some other time.
Several things that annoy me are:
Begging, annoying users, spam, scams, and people generally being assholes. I'll usually play along, but if you're a real jerkoff I won't hesitate to lay the good ol' smackdown, as they say. Ask the ladies at WTG forum; they'll tell you all that you need to know about the issue. As a side note, I WAS THE FIRST ONE WITH THE SCREENAME 'THE DARK GENTLEMAN.' Not to sound elitist, but anyone who has a screename similar to mine came after me and is a POSER.
Draw me pretty pictures, please:
I love art. I love seeing my Gaia character in art. I also love free art, of which I've gotten quite a few over the years. Of course, you're also welcome to come to me with offers for your art. I'll be willing to spend up to around 25k per art piece, depending on the quality and work that goes into the piece. I take both colored and uncolored, chibi or regular, the whole shebang. My one true goal? I'D LOVE FOR SOMEONE TO CREATE AN ANIMATED GIF OF MY CHARACTER. That would truly be wonderful!
In regards to friends on my friendslist:
I try and clean them out regularly. This is so new people have a chance to add me to their list. If you no longer see your name on my list, it's not because I no longer like you, but because I want everyone to have a chance to add me. So if you haven't added me as a friend in the past, feel free to do so. However, if you're curious about me outside of Gaia, and I get to know you well, I might send you some links to Myspace, Facebook, etc.
TDG in the avatar arena:
Lately I've been entering cosplay avatars into the avatar arena. I don't mean to brag, but I've had quite a few already in the top 10, which is of course due to the generosity of my friends and the general Gaia populace. Though I feel the arena has lost quite a bit of credibility since the switch over to the new arena and voting systems, I still enter just for something to do. I use this account for male entries, and my female mule for female entries (The Dark Mademoiselle is her name, look her up). If you're itching to vote for me, feel free to add me as a friend and I will keep you informed though PMs when I enter the arena. Either that, or merely enter my screename into the search box at the arena page itself.
A few of my interests are:
Video Games [mainly RPGs], Music [Techno, Classical, Rock, Pop, Metal, Ethnic], Anime and Manga [anything with a plot works for me], Literature [I like the classics. Some of my favorite authors are Anne Rice, Amy Tan, Oscar Wilde, and many others], Movies [I watch mainly movies that take place in the 18th century. Those are my favorites!] and art [I drew many things I use on Gaia daily].
