Our tubas usually aren't SL's because the tubas don't get solos like trombones or baritones.
Now, one of our tubas would definitely be SL this year, if the current SL weren't the band captain (she doesn't deserve it, though.)

I've played trombone since sixth grade, and I'm in 9th now.... so about 3 years.
Actually, I've been told that I'll be a co-SL because the oldest in the section next year is going to be a junior, but plays tuba (tubas are never SL's at my school.)
But I'll be SL, I'm pretty sure.

I really want to be in pit. My sister used to play xylo, and I want to play it now. But I'm like, really good at trombone, so they wouldn't let me change anyway. (SL next year, mah sophomore year.)
