I am a serious Doctor Who fan, as well as the Joker. Hence the trenchcoat, yeah. Hence the Green.
Blame Tennant for the Snitch. I may adore the Doctor, but I love Barty Crouch Jr. LOL.
First of all, I am so picky about pairings its not funny at all... And I write and like very geeky shows. That is all.
I have nothing against pairings in and of itself, it's just certain ones that may cause OOC that make me all mad.
Don't get me wrong, if the water floats your ship, just know it doesn't always float my boat.
Such as Doctor/Master. It doesn't upset me as much as it used to, I've seen the episodes enough times to sing I Can't Decide.
And I can reference directly from them as to what they mean by "a pairing".
Just because the ship exists, doesn't mean I ship it, I don't sail with it.
I understand there are people that love Theata/Koschei, but where did the good old days when two guys could just be best friends, and mortal enemies without romantic involvement?
I guess Moffat bugs me a little, since I've actually bothered to read the history between the Two TimeLords.
It's not really romantic on Theata's part in my opinion, he sees Koschei as a bit of a demented sibling that he has a responsibility towards.
What really happened that was NEVER even HINTED at in those episodes was Theata and Koschei were like siblings, they were bullied in the Acadamy. Theata ended up killing one of the bullies to save his best friend.
Death approached him and made him an offer, and Theata, a bit ashamed, shluffed her off, saying Koschei would make a far better servant than he ever would.
Death took him at his word, and made Koschei the same offer. To which he accepted.
Since then, The Doctor has always felt a bit responsible for the carnage The Master has caused.
I don't have a problem with non-canon pairings, they happen all the time.
The Doctor is just another story all together.
I understand there are people that absolutely can't get enough of it, and just because I don't like it does not make me ignorant, I understand why the pairing was made, it's somewhat of a stretch though.
I guess I just have problems with stretching a character over and above and all 100% against what he stands for.
If it floats your boat, that's fine, just don't expect me to swim in that water.

I haven't seen the Heath Ledger version, so I dunno how it's different, but the TV movie with Ten is a thing of beauty. ;D You'd love it. Pity my computer crashed before I finished watching it, so looks like I'll have to download it again.
