It's been forever since I messed with my Gaia account. Okay, here goes:

My name is Shalyn, I live in San Francisco and I am 19. I am a Child Development major. I have a wonderful boyfriend who is a member of the US Air Force. Of all the forums on Gaia I love WG the most. I used to be a bit of a regular in '06 and a lot of my friends from that time are gone, so now that I'm back I get to start making friends from scratch!

My interests? I like to draw. I'm a half-a** decent artist. I should be at least, it's something I've been doing for a very long time. Anyway, I like the internet, reading, biking, laughing, walks at midnight, clouds, cinnamon incense, anime, manga, making up stupid songs and never singing them, useless trivia, perfume, BPAL, socks, making the important people in my life happy, hugs, body language, mirrors, curry, the color purple, pro-choice activism, Zelda timeline, hearing about other peoples' views on various aspects of life, video games, tea, music, dancing, gardening, all aspects of sex/sexuality, and sleep among other things.

Oh, and I love movies. Musicals in particular.

Right now I'm just living life as it comes.

Yes, extroverts can be a lot of fun when they are more attentive as to how their actions affect others' feelings, and take care not to be so crazy that introverts and ambiverts alike are repelled. My brother is an active and jovial ESFP, genuinely wants other people to be happy, and has a great sense of humour; we get along very well most of the time. I can't say I've ever met an ISTJ, but that probably because the ones I've seen I've avoided unconsciously. ^_^V

There was an ESFP in high school that really got on my nerves, and generally I don't really like extreme the attention-seeking type of person. I don't really get along with ESFJs, either, because at my university they all go out and party, intoxicated, and come home either half-dead in an ambulance or screaming like a bunch of banshees. D: They don't bother me as much anymore, because I don't have to be around them any more, aside from in class (I was in residence two years ago, and they would often wake me up at 4 a.m. with their stomping, yelling and pounding on doors). However, some of the more rude extroverted types still bother me when they talk over the professor in the middle of lecture. >: (

Yes; I do find Myers- Briggs quite interesting; it's a very good starting point to get to know people online, and can help you discover new truths and ways of thinking when applying the inventory to friends and family. I look at it as a generalization, though, for not everyone fits exactly into one of the sixteen categories, and I've noticed that many people seem to border the thinking/feeling and introversion/ extroversion dichotomies. For example, I know an ESTP whose feelings are easily hurt, and and INTJ who balances her emotional and intellectual pursuits and tends to be very understanding and empathetic; both of these people go against the standard descriptions of their types. ; }
