From your post- I really enjoyed The Autobiography of Malcolm X. I had to read some of it for my History of the Islamic class and I found it very interesting and enjoyable.
Tea in the Harem by Mehdi Charef, was another book I had to read for the class. Its very smutty ~__~;; But avoiding that, its amazing how people who are of a different backround/religion are denied human rights. Just suggestions, if you want something very different and new to read! ^^;;
