About
I don't take crap from anyone.
Really, I guess that's what you need to know.
But a bit about me, regardless..
I'm eighteen years old.
I attend college in Vermont for pre-Seminary.
I'm going to take a year off soon and participate in an intellectual commune.
I don't tend to get along well with many people. Which is okay with me, so long as I have a few friends and something to fight against.
I tend to rebel against authority a lot more than is healthy. It bites me on the a** sometimes.
I tend to be contrary when people try to push me around.
I'm arrogant, yeah. Some people like it, some people hate it.
I love dance parties & any kind of dancing. Yes, I'll square dance. Yes, I'll morris dance. Yes, I'll rave. Yes, I'll tango, if you'll teach me how.
I'm an anti-pornography, sex-positive feminist who doesn't endorse promiscuity.
I have a Tragic Past. Oh woe. I'm remarkably practical about it.
I am a firm believer in the power of love. I don't need to be in a relationship; I just need to have people i love. And i do.

Reading your profile, I get the feeling that the "anti-promiscuity" part is horribly tainted by personal experience and bitterness. Shame.
You are insanely adorable.
CoMMenT!
If the girl in your sig is you, you and I must be long lost twins of some sort. xD
Srsly, I did a double take when I saw it, I was all, HOSHIT, THAT LOOKS LIKE ME...
Lol.
I know I don't know you -- but what I do know, I'm amazed by.
Veive, you're really cute.
hey, just dropping a comment! i like how your sig changes, with the little quotes and things.
But here is why I am confused: knowing that 1+1 is 2 is crystallized, because I directly think "the answer is 2" when I wonder about it. But I don't directly think anything about what 34+55 is, so to solve it I have to use fluid intelligence. But what goes through my mind as I solve it, are simply several layers of crystallized intelligence. First I think "I add each digit independently." Then I think "5+4=9" so something-9, and "3+5=8" so 8-something, and they go together so 8-9, 89. So I don't see how solving a "new" math problem is any different than solving an already known math problem. It seems that the only difference are how elaborate, or how many steps are involved. But if that is the case, then concepts that are bigger would seem to be by their nature more fluid. And that's just even more confusing! Agh!
Would you be willing to explain to me the difference between crystallized and fluid intelligence? I should understand them... but I don't, and google didn't really help. (And why am I posting this here? Because I DO understand that I get gold for this, but not private messages.
)
