I do love the sudden surge of peppermint flavored/scented things around the holidays. Once Christmas is through, I'll probably go flail around the mall and buy just about anything pepperminty that I can find ^^

I tend to come across spontaneous candy canes o_O Don't really know how it happens, but it seems I can find one whenever I want one XD it's a gift, I guess... one of my gifts from my mother was a tube of peppermint sticks specially for peppermint cocoa, too <3
Ah wow, either you're on a later time zone than I am, or you take care of Christmas festivities pretty early ^^ And lack of awkwardness is always good

There's always the magical solution of stirring a candy cane into yer hot cocoa <3 Tends ta taste better than pre-mixed peppermint cocoa mix, too.
