about cardi

cardi was born and grew up in a lower middle class family in barton. she was a happy-go-lucky child, scuttling around and exploring what could be explored of gaia back then. she liked going on beach holidays at isle de gambino and picking up seashells by the seashore. she liked going into the shops and trying on the pretty clothes for sale, too. and she felt embarrassed when ian noticed that she's been visiting his shop a lot. eventually, she discovered that she liked serving as a tour guide of sorts and helping people who got lost in barton town.

as an adolescent, cardi became rebellious. she dyed her hair and wore contacts. she lived in an artists' loft in durem, even though she had no artistic talent whatsoever. but she did hobnob with some very talented artists. she even commissioned some of them. she continued to visit isle de gambino, but this time to play at the casino in an attempt to earn gold to feed her art appetite. then she found that it was more effective to hang out with stockbrokers and play the market.

then halloween 2005 came. cardi was infected by the grunny virus and became a grombie. she spiraled into a deep depression because she no longer looked cute. she wandered around gaia, lost and with no idea what to do with herself.

for a long time cardi concealed her eyes, ashamed at what they had become. she continued to cover her eyes as she dragged herself to attend momoiro chugakko, for lack of anything better to do. there she managed to complete the bare minimum as a student. she found some solace in playing sports. at one point, she was falsely accused of cheating and was almost expelled. fortunately, the accusations were established as false, and she was reinstated.

one day, cardi looked at the mirror and realized that what she looked like was not bad at all. she came to accept herself. it was the start of her journey out of her deep depression. she moved back to barton, settled into a little home of her own in towns, and everyday she went to the local coffeeshop to get caught up with the goings on in gaia.

to this day she is still trying to figure out what to do with herself. and she found that she enjoys picking up seashells by the seashore again.
