Why would you ask something like that?

My mom scared the crap out of my my whole childhood to the point where I didn't want to have children because I was afraid of childbirth.

It was an amazing experience I can tell you that. But I'd be lying if I told you it wasn't painful. I did the labor and birth 100% natural without drugs or anything. No IV with fluids nothing. I did it like I was at home, except I was at the hospital. It was the most empowering experience of my life. It was really awesome.

I had what is called back labor, Lilia was in posterior presentation, she was head up and the back of her head was on my spine so all of my labor pain was in my back. Instead of having the 'Waves" of pain that normal labor contractions give you, my pain was constant and only got worse during contractions. This is what posterior presentation looks like http://www.doereport.com/generateexhibit.php?ID=10929 This is what it's suppose to be like http://catalog.nucleusinc.com/enlargeexhibit.php?ID=7754

The labor was painful, the actual birthing part when you push the baby out? That was nothing compared to the labor. I tore and it still was no big deal.

Why do you ask anyway?
