I hate to see how I hurt you,
But how can I make you see,
I love you for who you are now,
Not for who you used to be,
I refuse to linger on the past,
If I did it would hurt us both,
I love you for who you are now,
And with this poem I make an oath,
I take you as you are,
Not just with my heart,
but with all I am.
I take the good and the bad,
And it hurts when you don’t see,
I let you in so much more,
Because I know you can understand me,
I am reaching out again,
Further than before,
I am trusting you to not hurt me,
Because it is only you that I adore,
It has been so long for me,
I haven’t written for a year,
But I get the inspiration,
Every time I feel you near,
To me it shows my heart
It’s my release, better than rain,
It’s a way to express my soul,
It’s a way for me to explain
My poetry is my words,
My way of saying what I feel,
Through the words I write,
It is my soul I reveal.
It is past the night,
Onto the morning,
If I don’t go to sleep soon,
My eyes will shut of their own will,
So I leave you with this,
I love you My Beautiful Vampire,
Never forget me
As I will never forget you.
