Gender-Bender: Girls dressing up as boys, vice versa, girls becoming boys, vice versa... Most of the gender-bender mangas I've read are pretty good, especially 'He's Dedicated to Roses'. OMG SO GOOD!! No wonder it's number one on the 'most-viewed' count (Not an offical one... just at Mangafox...).
:rolf: Yea.. that's part of the reason I don't like watching animes as much as reading mangas, the animes tend to leave out important stuff (Ex: Inuyasha. Horrid anime ending, they cut it off without the main bad guy destroyed, before the main female character could say that he loved the main male character, and another main charater still cursed with black hole in his palm. The manga ending was much, much more satisfactory, not to mention it went almost 200 chapters farther than where the anime left off.)
Alright, when I'm not so flipping tired (Damn... I can't believe how tired I am and it's still this early gonk ) I'll check out the ones you suggested, except for Escaflowne, for my friend was forcing me to watch it with her, so I pretty much know about the plot and stuff...
I'm not very good with complicated mangas/animes... I never get what the dudes are saying, so I just go along with it, not understanding because I want to get through with it. *shrug* I'll try it as soon as I'm done with the manga I'm reading right now, Ramna 1/2. So awesome! Gender Benders are usually pretty good, but they tend to involve homosexuality. Not that I'm against it, it just tends to get kind of... awkward to read.
Which one's better? The manga, or the anime?
Well... Action mangas, I've found, are usually pretty good, and as I said above, gender benders also. I'm all over the supernatural theme, but nothing like little girls becoming sexy Amazon warriors or something. I try to stay away from comedies, for they often attempt to put humor is a tense or serious moment, but mangas like One Piece are comedies and they don't do that, so I don't mind all of them. I also enjoy really long mangas, for I am a hardcore manga reader (For instance, I read all of Detective Conan in about two and a half weeks) and I love ones that don't have tons of subplots or fillers, and get involved with the actual plot fairly quickly (Like Bleach the manga, there aren't too many little subplots from what I remember).
