Me........

School is under way!! I only say that because while it has been months, it doesn't feel like that long. I am so happy that it is starting to get cool, finally!! Where I live, it is SO HOT for SO LONG!!!

I don't like this year as much as last year, but I hope I can get through. I am really looking forward to next year because I will gain so much more freedom. However, in order to get there, I must get through this year first, which has proved difficult thus far.

Have you ever thought about the difference between getting through something and surviving something? They seem to be synonymous, but I have discovered this year that this is not the case. It is entirely possible to survive something without getting through it.

Enough with the emo stuff already, Eclypsis!! Pull yourself together!!!

HMMMMM......about me........
Well, I play violin, and I sing, though I need to start doing that more often. I LIVE for jazz, and Ella Fitzgerald is my idol. She is simply incredible, with such a sweet, molasses-soft voice and such rich, warm tone. Her music brings tears to my eyes!!!!!!

Practicing violin, though, has basically become my life. I am in a quartet with my bestest friend BlueAndromeda, an unnamed cello girl who goes bounce, and my *cough* EX-boyfriend. Yes, that is awkward. HOWEVER, I am also in two orchestras and "Rockestra," which is actually more fun and less dorky than it sounds. That makes FOUR ENSEMBLES, plus my music from my private teacher, which includes Kreutzer etudes, Shradiek drills, Suzuki music, and (hopefully soon!!!) Vivaldi Four Seasons conciertos. *crosses fingers* This all totals to MORE THAN FOURTEEN HOURS A WEEK in a violin-related setting. My arms are feeling it, and I am losing hearing in my left ear. Ah, well.

I also draw a little. I haven't really posted anything online, though. I recently got Photoshop, so I have been playing around with that, which is always a good time-killer (I have never understood why people do that....Time is such a nice fellow...).

What else....Oh, I am going to be a neurologist when (if) I "grow up," and I am well on my way, attending a magnet school. Though the teachers can be somewhat sadistic.....*shudders*.......I suspect it is because years of working with insane, masochistic kids have hardened them. Homework......homework........homework........

OOH, I almost forgot!!!! I play bass...upright and, well, non-upright. I have recently discovered a blues vein that probably has stemmed from my father's incessant playing of blues guitar, and so I LOVE to do riffs up and down the fingerboard of my mom's acoustic bass guitar. Just the feel of those cold, strong strings standing in line to dance under my fingertips makes tears start to my eyes. *sighs*

Well, in adieu, I would like to remind everyone to recycle, to remind your neighbors not to let their sprinklers run down the gutter, and to keep the key to your happiness inside your own pocket.
