There's so much for me to rant about concerning it- makes me happy for a mentally productive activity <3
Writing-wise, style, diction, imagery, you know, the essense of the art of writing!
that book is a LOAD OF CRAP. Every other line makes me want to puke or bash something living against a concrete brick.
Cliches, limited vocabulary- Its overwhelmingly ... I don't even know the word for it at this point. CRAP.
Then again, compared to the literary masterpieces- what cheesey vamp-romance novel stands a chance? XD
But it did have its good points. Meyers knows EXACTLY how to captivate the female audience with anguished bleeding-heart drama. Ultimate romance, too-perfect ideal characters. Let me say, they are superb characters not because they have depth or that timeless endearing quality, no. Ideal beyond ideal. Analogy: Who doesn't swoon over a hot, sparkling bishie? CAN YOU RESIST IT?
ZOMG. Marketing scheme= win. As much as I loathed the series (And Bella. OH EM GEE THAT -------) I have to admire how despite all odds, the series is still generally appealing. I don't understand it! IT fascinates me- this unbelieveable phenomenon!
You know me. Blow my mind and I'll adore you.
That woman is a pure wonder! How do you make absolute s**t sell?! How did she make me sit through 4 books?
MYSTERIES OF LIFE.
ZOMG.

The main library has the first one......dunno if it's in right now....you can check the site to see, but they definitely have it.
Breaking dawn = last book in Bella's narrative!! yay!
it starts out pretty funny, not the preface/prologue, but the first chapter
*would spoil, but you'd hit me several times.....verbally
