Update time! I was going to go swimming at the cliffs today, but since the weather is terrible, I'm sitting at home wasting time on the internet. Updating my Gaia profile seemed as useful as anything else, so here I am!

Ok, so who am I?
Well, garra_eyes, obviously, but feel free to call me garra or eyes, or alskdfjlj. That third one is a bit hard to pronounce though . . . . .

Anyway, here's a little about me . . . .

Politically speaking, I'm a bit of a mutt. I'm a fan of certain democrat ideas, but also a fan of some republican ideas. I also like to spice that up by throwing in some Libertarian and Socialist ideology.

I used to really love anime and manga, but I'm just not that into it anymore, though I do have a few series that remain close to my heart.

I also enjoy and watching movies and reading books.

Some of my favorite movies are Life is Beautiful, Pan's Labyrinth, Bella, The Guardian, Fried Green Tomatoes, Benny and Joon, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Evolution, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, 10 Things I Hate About You, 1776, Serenity, Freedom Writers, and all three Lord of the Rings movies.

Some of my favorite books are Tithe, Valiant, Ironside, The Looking Glass Wars Trilogy, The Graveyard Book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Lysistrata, the Harry Potter series, The Enchanted Forest series, The Pit Dragon series, and Fables (a comic book series).

Occasionally, I watch TV, but we don't have cable or broadcast at my apartment, so most of the time I'm limited to watching shows online. My favorite show, hands down, is Supernatural.

It's actually my biggest obsession right now. Seriously, if you have not seen it, go now, buy season 1, and watch them all. Then buy season 2 and watch all of those. Then buy season 3 and watch all of those. Then wait in anticipation for season 4 to come out on DVD in September, buy it, and watch all of those episodes. Then, go watch season 5 this fall on the CW (or, like me, online at www.ch131.com ).

By the way, did I mention that I'm a little obsessed?

Seriously, Supernatural. Great story line, awesome chemestry between the actors, fantasitic writers who do oodles and oodles of research, catchy story ideas, and not to mention two very sexy lead roles (and as of season 4, a new, awesome, and also sexy reoccurring character). What more could you ask for?

I wasn't going to make avis for Supernatural (Since, as awesome as the gaia avis are, they could not to justice to Jensen and Jared's sexiness), but then I just couldn't resist . . . .

Also, I'm in a Supernatural Guild. I just made these two pictures, and was so happy about having all the guild regulars and their adopted characters from Supernatural in one spot, that I had to post them here.






I also just got into the TV show Legend of the Seeker. which is pretty awesome. You should definitely check it out.

Hmmm . . . what else? Well, one of my previous obsessions was the show Doctor Who. I don't watch it much anymore, but I'm still a huge fan. I'm also a huge fan of the Doctor/Rose pairing, which is why I made these . . .


The first one is the Doctor, and yes, he is wearing 3-D glasses. (He wears them in Doomsday and I couldn't resist putting them on this avi guy) Also, the glow stick is supposed to be the sonic screwdriver. The second one is Rose. I couldn't get an outfit that matched Rose's Doomsday outfit, so I made a kind of mix of her other outfits.



I also like to write fictional (mostly fantasy) stories and fanfics.

I am currently in college, majoring in apparel design history math and am hoping to teach high school one day. We'll see how that goes. (I also might change my major another 7 times just for kicks.)

I'm a Catholic and I love discussing beliefs (not just my own) and philosophies. I also believe that trying to convert people is wrong. Well, not so much wrong as just plain stupid. As a Catholic, my job is to live a good life, give honor to God, and love the people. Actions speek louder than words and they're the only way people will see what the real deal with your religion is anyway. If people see my life and say, "Hey, Catholicism sounds like fun!", awesome. Welcome to the family. Other than that, show my beliefs some respect and I'll do the same for you. Actually, I'll show your beliefs some respect regardless of how you treat mine, but I'd really like to be respected too.


That should be just about everything, but if you want to know more, here are a few "favorites" that I haven't mentioned yet.

My favorite foods are curry and unagi.

My favorite Teas are Moroccan Mint, Jerry Cherry, Canberry Blood Otrange, Blackberry Sage, Wild Blueberry, Pomegranate Green Tea, Cape Hope Vanillia, Sandman PM tea, and Jasmine.

My favorite desert is fresh strawberries dipped in white chocolate on top of layered chocolate flourless cake and chocolate mousse.

My favorite M&M color is Green. (what is it about the green ones?)

My favorite animal is the kinkajou. (mainly because it's really fun to say. Say it with me now, kinkajou!)

Favorite word: omphaloskepsis - the contemplation of one's navel as an aid to meditation.

My favorite colors are lime green and electric blue.

My favorite eating utensils are very short sporks
