About
What about me?Hmmm...well....
I like cartoons.
I like The Question (from the comics)
I like Vigilante and Shining Knight as well.
I like quotes.
I love Poe....the man needed more hugs in his life.
I still want a horse, even though I should have "grown out' of that stage.
The one fish I have refuses to kick the bucket...after two years you would think a 10c goldfish would have.
I'm an anime/manga freak.
I'm a self proclaimed band geek.
I swear I was PERFECTLY normal until I joined the band.
There is no spoon.
Agent Smith DID win....
....he so did.
I would rather date Bumblebee than a real guy.
In fact, I would rather date a guy who is made up. (if for some strange reason he appeared)
I freaking love video games!
I have beaten boys in halo, fighting games, and racing games.
...So ha....girls can play video games
I still sleep with my stuffed piggy and bear.
Also with my two baby blankets.
I have a bad tendency to watch shows that I know will keep me up at night.
I have an obsession with mushrooms (the veggy....not the drug)
I collect rocks (to the joy of my parents)
Art is my life....which means drawing in class is COMPLETELY justified.
I still have all my pokemon cards (the ORIGINAL 150)
Santa is real.
I hate gas prices.
The shiny s**t is MINE!
I can remember my dreams.
I am a Taurus, look it up and its usually fairly close to my personality.
I am also a Snake....again...look it up.
My first anime crush was Tuxedo Mask.
I was going to name my children after characters, now my pets instead.
Although if I have a boy he will be called Link.
I want a pug, and a golden retriever.
The best dog I had was Susie, a complete mutt.
I like the color black.
...this does not make me 'emo' or 'goth' I just love the clothing
I want colored contacts that are unusual colors, like purple.
I am Christian, but and fairly liberal. (aka...I read the Da Vinci code and do believe parts of it)
I hate talking about religion.
Some people are stupid.
I have owned a dog that had no teeth. (she was really old and we found her hiding in our back shack-thing....after much begging on my part, we took her in)
My father and fireworks=bad things
Last thing, for now....
I like books over most movies.
*now for some quotes/random stuff*
I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.
What am I?
In a marble hall white as milk
Lined with skin as soft as silk
Within a fountain crystal-clear
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors there are to this stronghold,
Yet thieves break in to steal its gold.
-- Mother Goose
All about, but cannot be seen,
Can be captured, cannot be held,
No throat, but can be heard.
What is it?
If you break me,
I do not stop working.
If you touch me,
I may be snared.
If you lose me,
Nothing will matter.
What am I?
My life can be measured in hours;
I serve by being devoured.
Thin, I am quick; fat, I am slow.
Wind is my foe.
What am I?
There is not wind enough to twirl
That one red leaf, nearest of its clan,
Which dances as often as dance it can.
-- Samuel Taylor Coleridge
What does man love more than life?
Fear more than death or mortal strife?
What do the poor have, what the rich require,
And what contented men desire?
What does the miser spend, the spendthrift save,
And all men carry to their graves?
You can have me but cannot hold me;
Gain me and quickly lose me.
If treated with care I can be great,
And if betrayed I will break.
What am I?
A rose is a rose...armed with both pistol and petal, it knows not gender but is only what it is-nothing more and nothing less
For the wretched of the earth, there is a flame that never dies. Even the darkest night will end, and the sun will rise." ~Les Miserables
“It is thought hope is an emotion
Or perhaps a feeling…
Hope is always small -
Yet despite its assumed manifestation
It brings with it a tide of power…
It is thought hope is an emotion
Or perhaps a feeling
Or maybe hope is a desire -
The desire to live on...”
Between the desire, And the spasm
Between the potency, And the existence
Between the essence, And the descent
Falls the Shadow
For Thine is the Kingdom
For Thine is, Life is, For Thine is the
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper.
—T.S. Eliot, "The Hollow Men" (1925)
It makes no difference
where you're from,
what your color,
how you pray,
or who you love.
Everybody matters.
-Ron Atchison
Dear God of many Names,
Protect your children tonight wherever they are sleeping
And let them know the world does not have to be like this
Place a kiss upon each of their foreheads
And remind them oh so gently
That there are reasons to be hopeful
And reasons for them to dream beautiful dreams.
Amen
-Ron Atchison
We will meet again my friend,
A hundred years from today
Far away from where we lived
And where we used to play.
We will know each others' eyes
And wonder where we met
Your laugh will sound familiar
Your heart, I won't forget.
We will meet, I'm sure of this,
But let's not wait til then...
Let's take a walk beneath the stars
And share this world again.
- Ron Atchison
If only, if only, the moon speaks no reply;
Reflecting the sun and all that's gone by.
Be strong my weary wolf, turn around boldly.
Fly high my baby bird,
My angel, my only.
-Holes, Louis Sachar
Dare to Dream
Dare to dream of far off lands,
Dream of deserts, covered in sand.
Dream of rainforests, trees high above
Dream of finding your one true love.
Dare to dream of lies or the truth,
Dream of never losing your youth.
Dream of battles, dream of a spark.
Dream of light, a light in the dark.
Dare to dream of fighting and sadness,
Dream of men, succumbed to madness.
Dream of warmth and heat and flame,
Dream that your life is just a game.
Dare to dream of hate and mistrust,
Dream of all that’s true and just.
Dream of drowning, drowning in the sea,
Dare to dream of dreaming, yes dare to dream with me.
-Lexi Smith
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
I'm Nobody! Who are you?
Are you--Nobody--Too?
Then there's a pair of us?
Don't tell! they'd advertise--you know!
How dreary--to be--Somebody!
How public--like a Frog--
To tell one's name--the livelong June--
To an admiring Bog!
-- Emily Dickinson
Even if I fell into a sleepless night all alone
In the darkness I’d close my eyes and listen carefully to the twinkle of stars
-Shimokawa Mikuni-
Though we share this humble path, alone
How fragile is the heart
Oh give these clay feet wings to fly
To touch the face of the stars
Breathe life into this feeble heart
Lift this mortal veil of fear
Take these crumbled hopes, etched with tears
We'll rise above these earthly cares
-Loreena McKennitt - Dante's prayer
There are those who think that life is nothing left to chance
A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance.
A planet of playthings,
We dance on the strings
Of powers we cannot perceive.
"The stars aren't aligned
Or the gods are malign"
Blame is better to give than receive.
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear
I will choose free will.
-Rush
Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or a lifetime is certain for those who are friends."
- Richard Bach
"Thats what a friend is for, when your lost in darkness and searching for the light, to help you through those lonely nights, when everything around you fails just hold out your hand, and i'll come running, thats what a friend is for."
-Marty Keith
"Once there was a darkness, a deep and endless night, you gave me everything you had and oh, you gave me light"
-Sarah Mclaughla
"Every now and then we find a special friend, who never lets us down, who understands it all, reaches out each time you fall, you're the best friend that I've found."
-Jordan Hill
"Don't want to leave, but we both know sometimes it's better to go. Somehow I know we'll meet again, not sure quite where and I don't know just when you're in my heart, so until then, smile, don't want to cry saying goodbye."
-The Muppets
Goodbye may seem forever
Farewell is like the end
But in my heart is a memory
And there you'll always be.
-Widow Tweed
I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living
my baby you'll be.
-Robert Munsch
If you are a dreamer, come in,
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!
Shel Silverstein-Invitation
"There is nothing either good or bad,
but thinking makes it so."
-William Shakespeare
"Time passes, people move. Like a river's flow, it never ends. A childish mind will turn into noble ambition, young love will become deep affection. The clear water's surface reflects growth..."
- Shiek
I don't care what you are doing, so much as the idiotic way that you are doing it.
- Vincent Valentine
Too much hope is the opposite of despair... An overpowering love may consume you in the end.
- Vincent
Not often in the story of mankind does a man arrive on earth who is both steel, and velvet. Who is hard as rock and soft as a drifting fog. Who holds in his heart and mind the paradox of terrible storm and peace unspeakable and perfect.
-Carl Sandburg
I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees.
I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues.
-The Lorax
