The Character.

Klimma Gustave.

A shock of white feathered hair frames a pale mien bisected by a faint silvery scar; the only reminder of the bone-white mask that once covered half of it. There are other changes as well -- where there was once a number tattooed along the swell of her breast, there is now a red heart stitched into flesh, and the hints of a much more violent scar that traces from her collarbone to her bellybutton.

She had changed into something new entirely. Not spirit. Not monster. But neither human nor entirely mortal either. Uncharted territory wrought by necessity, fleshcrafting, and faulty enchantments. Most that knew what had happened said she was lucky to be alive.

Whatever that meant.

Klimma despises outright combat, a trait carrying from her former existence -- her skills have always laid elsewhere. She sees herself as an artist first and foremost, her interest and passion lays in the stroke of the brush rather than that of the blade; and is perhaps the reason the hollow hole that still remains manifested itself through the palm of her right hand.

She possesses a generally calm and teasing sort of nature (some might say flirtatious,) but is prone to quick flashes of intense anger that pass nearly as soon as they surface. More often she remains calm and poised.

Simple but elegant dresses, pressed to perfection and tailored to accentuate her figure, speaks more of vanity than it does of a well-seasoned warrior. This is furthered by small hints of ribbon and black lace. Edging to nearly anachronistic at times, with a few tattoos for good measure. Hearts. a black broken heart on her right shoulder. The other, golden, and hidden from the view of most. She is of moderate height and curvaceous build -- lending further to the appearance of one more interested in self indulgence than physical exertion.

Mismatched and somewhat shocking golden gaze is oft filled with mirth these days, lips poised in a knowing sort of smirk -- as though she has a secret she isn't quite willing to share with the rest of the world. This probably isn't too far off from the truth, considering some of her preferred avenues of employment. She deals in information and plays with knowledge, quietly observing and weaving truths as calmly as she brandishes a paintbrush.

Humanity both fascinates and repulses Klimma. Even now, after having reclaimed so much of her own, she retains a certain feeling of disconnect from most. She is at once drawn to humans and their capacity to create and their passions...but disgusted by their folly and frailty. And perhaps her own as well.

I'm Dani.

I'm a freelance illustrator and cartoonist (and soon-to-be grad student), narrowly surviving in the wilds of New York City with my wits and sanity intact. When I grow up, I want to tell stories about people that don't exist, histories that never were, and places that might have been. In comic form. Yeah, I'm a real big dork. (Thankfully I came to terms with this a long time ago.)

I live in Queens (for now), with my ma, two awesome cats, transitory goldfish, and a "lovely view" of the J train. I'm a snarky brit-pop enthusiast; just your average nerdy chubby chick in chunky purple glasses and a scarf for every occasion. I'm taken. He's wonderful. <3 And while I'm not entirely certain why this is the sort of pertinent information I should be sharing with you here -- it fits, right?

I draw cute, weird, and vaguely pornographic things, sew stuffed monsters and toys, obsess over comics, manga, and the color pink. I've been known to collect kitschy junk, and read more bad sci-fi and fantasy novels than a sane person should. Hello kitty is my homegirl, and I probably would have been sorted into Ravenclaw. I have never worked at Empire Records or the Moulin Rouge but I have worked at a gas station and a preschool.

I'm not a water-bender, but I appreciate bubblebaths immensely. I'm not a cartoon-character either, but I have worked as an animator. My zanpakuto is probably heartshaped; I'd be the most useless shinigami ever. Never been to Azeroth but I am for the Alliance. (I <3 trolls though.)

Shaman4lyfe. Because punching bag is a lifestyle as well as a class.

I flit in and out of fandoms like a perpetual tourist but I keep the dream alive. My boots (doc martens) are made for walking. I have the most wonderfultastic friends ever. And I hate giant robots (though an exception has been made for the Megas.)

Also kittens.

Took me a while to get used to it when I changed mine, for sure. Changed back initially because it was so different and I like wasting gold I guess. scream ;; Haha.
