It was very hot. At times it was almost unbearable, and I burned quite badly during the first week, lol. It was about 85 degrees all around central Honshu, and muggy (especially in Kyoto, which is inland). Kyushu was tropical, though not as terribly wet as Honshu was. Northern Honshu and the mountain region north of Tokyo was like, 70 degrees, and not humid at all C: That was nice.
Yes, vacation. I really wanted to see the country again and experience/understand the culture more. So, we went. That was my birthday present, obviously lol.
We traveled around the country by train and stayed in hostels and Temples most of the time, to experience the culture more and mingle with the people. If you ever go, you'll find that meeting people is by far the best part of the trip biggrin D
Now, I'm working towards getting a scholarship to study there for a year.
You should go abroad as a student! How much Japanese do you know now? Does your school offer any study abroad programs to Japan?
If I could study abroad, I'd immediately pick Japan...this trip was basically life changing and after leaving I immediately felt that I HAD to go back. The country is so fascinating beyond belief.

I'd also like to study in Sweden. I find the two countries very similar actually. They both have one of the healthiest populations in the world, and are clean with super nice people C: lol
