About
Elen síla lumenn' omentielvo.
In Latin, "Vita est somnium" = "Life is a dream."
On Gaia, "Vita est somnium" = Me.
What can I say about myself?
I'm a little bit crazy, a lotta bit geeky, and probably not as awesome as I'll try to make you believe (but, y'know, pretty damn close).
In terms of beliefs, I'm a left-libertarian, non-partisan, a hard-determinist, and cheerfully nihilistic. I like philosophy, especially Nietzsche, Aristotle, Russell, and Thoreau. I mock Immanuel Kant with a frequency and to a degree that is probably unhealthy.
I love learning new languages, and am currently learning Spanish, Latin, Icelandic and Old Norse, American Sign Language, and Quenya. I also know bits and pieces of various other languages.
I'm 17 and a senior in high school, but when I get to college I plan to double major in physics and philosophy, and maybe work at NASA someday. I also love to write (poetry and short stories usually, though at the moment I'm attempting a novel as well).
I'm a CTYer. If you are too, we should talk.
Occasionally, when I see toy dinosaurs, I feel obligated to act out Wash's dinosaur scene from the first episode of Firefly. I have a calculator named Calculus Prime and a typewriter named Herodotus, and I think that semicolons are the sexiest type of punctuation. My biggest pet peeve is when people call Frankenstein's monster "Frankenstein." In my opinion, DC>Marvel, though that by no means is saying that I don't like Marvel. As far as D&D goes, I play 3.5 and while 4.0 does look like it has some interesting aspects, I don't plan to change any time soon. I get absurdly excited when talking about things like Tolkien, politics, and the Doppler Effect.
If there's anything else you want to know, just ask me. Likewise, I'm open to debates; as long as you're capable of having a reasonably intelligent conversation (as opposed to "zomg ur rong!1!11"), I'll gladly respect your opinions.

Thanks for buying
i'd like to read some of your poetry.
Haha, I went to a book store today, and I found the Killer Joke, but I didn't have the money to buy it Dx I read up until Batman found out that the Joker in the cell wasn't the real Joker, though. It looks so great @3@
First one, actually. Incidentally, it's also my first real comic book (not including mangas). I want to read something else from him, but not sure what.
I'm thinking V for Vendetta, before they start taking his name off the comic book.
Haha, I just finished reading Watchmen, actually. I can see why it's held in such a great light.
And yes, the Sagan is in fact awesome.
And no, I haven't seen Dark Knight yet. I'm gonna watch it on Wednesday (that is, if tomorrow goes well).
Oh please, Marvel beats DC any day (not to say I don't like DC).
If it wasn't shut down, I would have rather played Marvel Online than DC Online (though, DC does look pretty awesome >3< ).
Have you seen the Joker in it? Talk about freaky.
Yeah, I'll definitely check it out
Annual rereading, eh? The guy who played Saruman in the movies did that. I watch all three movies (extended versions!) every couple of months, so I guess it's kinda the same
However, I do plan on reading the Silmarillion sometime this summer. But yeah, a lot of people never even hear of Tolkien's non-LotR stuff *shakes head sadly*
And unfortunately, I haven't
It's amazing. You should definitely check it out.

And amen to your cheerful nihilism and obsession with Tolkien, for these are interests we share.
Haha, niiiiiice!

Yeah, that was one of the ways I made myself not so sad about my inability to play NWN 2 -- all of its bugs.
Aren't the graphics supposed to be super sleek too? I've only ever seen tiny screenshots...
And I would upgrade, but I discovered the joys of Oblivion, and haven't looked back since
