Hello! Hello! Welcome to my profile! This is the place that everyone wants to be! Oh yeah. Well...OK...Not really. But since you're here, I suppose that I'll tell a little bit about myself.

I go by many names here sometimes Meryl, sometimes Lana - I can never remember which one I used last. I'm a writer though that's not my profession, but it is who I am. I'm in grad school to become a linguist - an English Teacher or Computational Linguist (preferably the 2nd one b/c it makes more money and maybe I could afford my hobbies!).

Of hobbies, I have many. I'll list a few here: history - anything from the Babylonians to early 1900s, though I'm strongest in Roman and Medieval Western European history. But when it comes to history I say "Yes please!" Fencing - I do both electric and medieval style w/ epee. Cats - I have two cats and I LUV them. I also occasionally volunteer at the shelter and some day would like to foster them. And of course, hanging with friends, going to clubs, bars, restaurants and anything else that's social.

Hmm, well I guess that's about all I'm willing to divulge at the moment. Except: If you're a writer and looking for a good writer's guild, try mine! "The Black Dragon Writer's Group"

I really liked your response to that guy who had the zombie book idea. I just thought I'd let you know that. Really my kind of style. Just totally shoot down the whole idea without sounding too mean, but also being a smartass. I love it.
