Biastophilia is a paraphilia in which sexual arousal is dependent on, or is responsive to, the act of assaulting (possibly sexually) an unconsenting person, especially a stranger.
Biastophilia is a common trait in serial killers.
It is sometimes confused with raptophilia, that is, the paraphilia in which sexual arousal is responsive to raping a victim.
