What Kava does with her spare time...

Mostly, Kava distracts herself so that she isn't constantly over-analyzing and over-thinking things. It takes a bit to actually occupy her mind so that it won't go wandering where it pleases, so she fills it usually with one of the below:

Reading
Reading is the most relaxing of her past-times, and the only one that is completely absorbing and yet completely passive. Kava generally prefers Sci-Fi or Fantasy fiction, though she's been known to enjoy Mysteries as well. Two of her favorite authors are: Issac Asimov and Christopher Stasheff.

Gaming
Since accidentally falling into video games in 2001, with Mario and the Seven Stars RPG, she's tried out and discovered she enjoys a variety of gaming options which include: Video games (mostly RPG's... including Final Fantasy games, Zelda games, and some Mario games), Online MMORPG's (of which she doesn't truly consider Gaia to be one - her current ones are WoW, Runescape, and sometimes Sryth), and tabletop role-playing (currently - 7th Sea).

DVD Watching
In addition to anything relating to the books or games she plays, she enjoys Disney films, and just about any light-hearted feel-good film with a good ending. She prefers to avoid most 'thriller' films, ALL horror flicks, and anything that is too 'doomy and gloomy' in atmosphere or that boasts a tragic ending. Adventure films are fantastic. Oh, and throw in a good dose of anime as well!(Favorite animes include: Slayers, CCS, and Trigun.)

Good Company
Yes, she has tendencies towards being a hermit sometimes, but she does frequently get the urge for companionship and enjoys going out walking, playing tennis, going shopping (even if only to window shop), drives to out of the way little nooks, movies, and other various fun and entertaining or quiet and peaceful moments with friends.

Are you an Admin or an NPC?
No... and No. I'm not an Admin, I'm not an owner, I'm not an NPC, a developer, or a Bot or Robot of any sort. It honestly baffles me why people keep asking me.

Are you rich?
On Gaia? Well, I rarely have much gold to speak of. I just have a lot of items. Some of them are worth a lot, I suppose. I don't really keep track. I'm rich in friends though. Several of them insist on regularly helping me to increase the number of items in my inventory, despite all my protests. ^^;

Why are you on Gaia?
I'm on Gaia because I enjoy the interaction with other people, and I'm addicted to dressing up my avatar. I joined because my younger brother bugged me once too often asking if I had a Gaia profile, and I was tired of trying to explain that I didn't. I stayed because I found people I enjoyed talking to, and found ways to participate in the community and help others.

Not currently. I had some changes in my life, and Gaia went through some massive changes as well. The two didn't mesh very well and I eventually decided that I didn't want to be a moderator anymore right now. No, I'm not 'on break' and have no plans currently to resume being a moderator anytime soon. You can also see my journal entry made when I resigned here: Moderator No More

That wasn't very philosophical....
Well then... how about this? One of the main things I enjoy doing in Gaia is helping to spread understanding. Explaining to people why things work the way that they do, helping people to understand one another better, and to understand viewpoints other than their own. I firmly believe in treating every person with respect, and always try to keep in mind that there's bound to be a lot about any situation that I'm not able to know or prove one way or another. There's far too little understanding in the world in general. Assumptions are far too common.

The trading pass is disabled at this time.
