    It all began with a stone, or so the legend says...



    In ages past a sentient jewel, enormous and beautiful, banished the darkness. Its many colored light filled the world with life and brought forth mighty gods. Bathed in that light, the world entered a age of bliss. Until after a time, the gods fell into slumber.

    That world was called Vana'diel.

    In the 863rd year of the Crystal Era, Vana'diel was in the midst of a great war. Faced with invasion by the Shadow Lord and his hordes of beastmen, the leaders of the enlightened peoples united their forces in desperate alliance.

    They were the Kingdom of San d'Oria, the Republic of Bastok, The Federation of Windurst, and the Grand Duchy of Jeuno. Together, they struggled for survival in battle after battle as chaos engulfed the land.

    Twenty years have passed since the people's great victory. But now, even as the memories of battle have begun to fade, a new evil grows inside Vana'diel...and it hungers for the power of the crystals.



    The world of Vana'diel is wrought with unease, flared tempers and the quiet whispers of impending war and growing, deep-rooted evil. The three great nations - Windurst, San d'Oria, and Bastok - are in a constant struggle for power over the beastmen...
    ...and over the land of Vana'diel itself.

    ...and enter into a new life.



    After a lot of deliberation (okay, not that much), and a little work, I decided to make a complete overhaul not only in my name, not only in my profile, but in my life. This profile is about changes, it's about reflection, it's about seeing the grand, bright horizon in a world of darkness and depression.

    It's also about Final Fantasy XI.
