My name's Alex. Such an awesome Macedonian name (I realized I said Mesopotamian first. Such it the advantage of Ancient Civs. class.) I was named after my great uncle Alex, but I like to think I was named after the Great One. Much more interesting and makes me feel like I have purpose. I'MA CONQUER MOST OF THE MIDDLE EASTERN WORLD.
As of this past St Patrick's Day, I turned 17. Yeah, you heard me. My goddamn birthday is St Patrick's Day, March 17th. So when I hit 19, I'm getting smashed, hammered and totally wasted.
I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I've got a fairly good life and lots of friends, and they generally think I'm a jerk. But truth is, I'm really not. The only reason I say the jerky things is so I can get a laugh out of someone.
I like reading, writing, sleeping and eating and listening to music. My fave bands are mostly Maritime bands, Great Big Sea and Flogging Molly for the most part. No bands that have an overwhelming amount of angst in their songs. My friends and I established that it's not the mainstream I don't like, it's the depressing teen angst that certain bands have. (Besides, Celtic rock has wider range of instruments.)
I go to school at Sir Wilfrid Laurier high school, which is a fairly nice place. It's the most wired school in all of the school board and we're pretty proud of that.
