About

Dear Potential Friend,

My name is Abagail Grayce Link.
Yes, GRAYCE. Not Grace.
And it's ABAGAIL, not Abigail.
You can also call me Abbey, but it is not Abby, Abbie, or Abi.
My name is complicated, and I would appreciate if you would humor me and get it right. icon_razz.gif
Also, if you think you're being clever by making a Zelda joke about my last name...
It's been done.

Anyhow, here are the basics...

-I'm 15 and a silly little sophomore in high school. Though I think all high schoolers are quite silly. x3
-I'm not short, I'm fun sized! icon_biggrin.gif I'm constantly being called a chibi by my friends, because I'm like 5 feet tall. I'm a little chubby, but not in a way that makes me too ugly. I'm just kind of...cuddly. icon_razz.gif
-I live in Sacramento, California and I can't stand it.
-I'm straight, but I'm not narrow, meaning I'm open-minded and supportive of real love, whether or not it fits your definition of “normal.”
-I'm Christian, but I won't shove the Bible down your throat or try to convert you like a crazy. I will not, however, tolerate anyone who talks down to my beliefs in a way that is not at all constructive or respectful.
-I'm taken! I know you're disappointed. icon_razz.gif Anyway, this guy's name is Matt and he's just about the most adorable geek you ever will meet. He's got an amazing heart, a brilliant mind, and a smile that is pure sunshine. I love him most. :3 We have a lovechild (also referred to as a stuffed puppy) named George Harrison. We love the Beatles very much. ^^

As for my hobbies, I'm quite the little geek. ^^ I love World of Warcraft. I have a level 53 Night Elf Druid and several other loserish alts that will probably never see level 30 because I always get bored. Kind of like my relationships! *ba-dum-sshhhh* Okay, that wasn't really very funny.>.>
I like sci-fi and am currently having a love affair with Firefly/Serenity. Orson Scott Card and Neil Gaiman are loooove.
Below, you'll see I'm very involved in music, but I also write a ton! I've completed two novellas and write multitudes of poetry. It's improved a lot over the past few years, because I put a lot more care into it, rather than my previous techniques of just scribbling down a bunch of emo woe-is-me crap. That stuff all sounds the same.

As for music, it is my life. I play the viola in the Sacramento Youth Symphony, which is like... AMAZING. I love looking at an orchestra because all of the other sections look pretty normal until you look at the violas and we're all the weirdos who couldn't just conform and play the violin. icon_razz.gif (IF YOU CALL MY VIOLA A VIOLIN THERE WILL BE DEATH INVOLVED. AND IT WILL NOT BE CLEAN. IT WILL MOST LIKELY INVOLVE SOME SORT OF RUSTY, DULL OBJECT THAT PROBABLY WON'T ACTUALLY HURT YOU AND I WILL THEREFORE END UP HAVING TO KILL YOU WITH MY MIND LIKE RIVER TAM. EXCEPT I'M NOT A NINJA LIKE SHE IS SO I'D PROBABLY JUST START CRYING, AT WHICH POINT YOU WOULD SHANK ME WITH A LEG OF LAMB.) I also sing soprano in my church's choir and love it. One thing everyone notices about me in person is that I'm always singing something, either loud or under my breath. I sing in the shower, too. Apparently shampoo is inspiring. :3
And my taste in music? Expansively weird. I love indie rock, geek rock, some mainstream lame-o rock, showtunes...A little bit of everything nerdy. I have an unhealthy obsession with Les Miserables. Don't ever ask me to sing a song from it because I will most likely end up reciting the entire libretto. XD I have a lot of music and am always looking for more. 21 GB is just not enough to satisfy. icon_crying.gif

As for books, I am always starving for more. :3 I luuurve mah books. I read a lot of everything. I love classics like Bronte, Austen, Dickens, Steinbeck etc. VICTOR HUGO IS MAI HERO. Les Miserables is the most beautiful piece of literature in existence. I have an antique set of the unabridged volumes and have read them three times through. I also read a lot of science fiction and fantasy, too. American Gods is one of my favorites, as is, of course, the Ender series. ^^

Now, as for my personality? You'd have to get to know me better to fully understand it, but let's say I was introducing myself to you and was going to attempt to explain myself to you. I'd probably say something like this:
I'm not really sure how I mustered up the courage to introduce myself to you because I'm extremely shy, except on the internet. But, seeing as we've now met I have to say that once I've become comfortable with you, you can expect me to be loud and obnoxious, but pretty comedic and entertaining so I must be taken in doses. I'm going to drive you absolutely bonkers because I sing more than anyone can stand to listen to and complain more than you'll ever want to hear. I'm often very self-centered, needy and clingy. Little things mean a lot to me and make me look stupid. I will offend you when I ignore you to play World of Warcraft or send a text message while we're talking. I will listen when you have problems and lend advice that you may or may not follow. I will make you walk me through things I don't understand because helping myself terrifies me. I will publicly humiliate you at least once in the span of our friendship and your parents will love me. It's nice to meet you. :3

I could have said “I'm a nice and talented person and we should be best friends because I'm perfect and everyone loves me!” But that wouldn't be true.

Here are some things I dislike, so you will know how not to get on my bad side. ^^

-EXPECTATIONS. Honestly, I can’t stand it when people expect me to be perfect just because I am often successful. I only feel worse about myself when I let someone down.

-HOMOPHOBES. Ever been in love? You can’t choose who you love. God never said gays would go to hell. Leviticus said that. It also says that shellfish are an abomination, you can’t eat camels, and that midgets cannot make a sacrifice to God. So, before I get into the legitimacy of this book of the Bible, I’d also like to point out that Christians who bash gay people are being hypocrites. Christians are supposed to love as Jesus did and Jesus loved everyone.

-SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS. I am an open-minded person. I believe in presenting an opinion and receiving the opinions of others with an open mind especially when it comes to religion because I firmly believe that you can’t convert a person by shoving the Bible down their throat.

-THE DRAMA LLAMA. There’s more to life than who was talking crap about who and who is a slut and bla bla bla. You may be in high school, but you don’t have to act like it.

As for things I like? There are a lot, but some of the happiest things include dancing in the rain, chocolate hemp milk, diet coke, vegan cookies, dancing around my house in my underwear, making fun of people I don't know, and walking around town, singing into the traffic. :3

Now, if you actually bothered to read through that novel, you deserve to add me on myspace, so here's the link!
www.myspace.com/noodleknees

Feel free to hit me up on AIM or YIM or MSN or whatever it is that you use and we'll talk. I'm very welcoming and won't be rude to you just because we aren't exactly the same. I love making friends and we will most likely get along swimmingly. ^_^

Love,
Abagail

P.S. Here are a few pictures.

I never really look the same from day-to-day, because I don't stick to a particular style or anything. x3 I look any way that makes me happy. icon_smile.gif

Yeah, classical music can get a little boring after a while.

I got my schedule today and I is happy.
