Hm... My mom's pretty liberal. Borderline Green Party sort of stuff. My dad's like a neo-conservative, but we argue about politics all of the time and I've noticed he's become a lot more libertarian. He used to be very liberal in college and stuff, then he got all neo-conservative-y, which is... what it is. So yeah. With my sister, she doesn't talk about politics at all. I think she's probably more anti-religion than I am (haha, scary thought?). But I'm def the most libertarian person in the household. I used to be much more conservative, so I can actually relate to what you mean about moving from Republican to libertarian like that. Although, I'd say that the beliefs I changed were the more conservative ones than the liberal ones (ie, I didn't change my social views which were already moderately liberal -- they've just become more radically liberal; it's my foreign policy views that have probably changed the most). It's annoying, though, because I used to be a bit of a hack for Republicans. I'd probably feel quite nauseous if I could see old posts on The-N I'd made about 4 years ago.

I just got this PM from someone about a post I must have made months and months ago (since I've not posted since months and months ago...) about Blue October. I guess I made fun of them? I don't know. But it really upset the guy and now I feel all bad. : Jesus fucking Christ, I don't even know what I said...

I stopped going because people stopped going . That is why I am reluctant to join Gaia guilds, because people eventually stop going. I was hoping Kukushka would keep it up but I guess real life happened. But, I did discover that the NanoWriMo (I think I slaughtered that) forum seems helpful so I'm hoping to hangout there more for insights and help. It seems to be more... organized and have more people who are intersted in writing than that of Gaia (although it's always intersting to read rants and stuff of the Writing Forum, there are way too many new wanna-be writers who think writing is easy). They always seem to be gear towards new writers when I'm looking to improve my writing, not a beginner's guide.





I minored in Creative Writing... becaues I didn't know what else to minor in that would be doable within 4 years, plus my major, plus studying aboard. In college, people tell you to take several different classes and try out different things but... it doesn't seem very logical to people who barely have any money to go more than 4 years. I very much wanted a major in Art (or at least a minor) but I couldn't stand the fact that we had to take Art History. Why do we need to take Art History anyways?





But, I do often wonder if I should've gone to art school but then I remember that it's one of thoes thigns that isn't meant to be -I like art as a hobby, not as a career so, it's better that way. But, if you do, go for it! Have you ever thought about scholarships?

Oh yeah, I caught the cold about a weeks ago, too. Not as bad as the previous years but still annoying enough. I guess that's why I haven't seen you in months? (I tend to see you more in the Writer's and Art forums). OMG, you didn't know? She had some issues with her immigration to Canada because her husband lives there and god, I hope she's doing all right.





Cool, figure drawing eh? I decided to skip that and took painting instead (well, because the drawing classes were already full and I need and Fine Arts credit and since Painting didn't require drawing, it was my only choice left). The class taught me a lot more than I thought it would





So, why was college delayed?

Hey NothingOf, how's it going? You've been to our guild lately? I haven't (and kind of bad about it). Ever since Kukushka dropped off the face of the Earth, nothing has been happening so I don't really go there anymore. It's always exciting to see you post in the Writer's forum and seeing you in the art forums. Everytime I see you there I say to myself, "Gee! I keep forgetting that I discovered that she also does art!"





So, what's been happening since? I saw on your profile that you're willing to give critques and stuff. Maybe next time I can drop by and send something your way? It's too hard writing a story or boucing ideas on your when and there aren't any nearby writers to help you.

I dunno. I think modern day Republican to Libertarian is actually a pretty big shift. a) interventionist foreign policy, b) invasive social policy, c) inability to control spending while they control two branches of government, and so on and so forth. I think Democrats are just as bad, but Republicans have lost really any respect I've ever had for them because of what mega assholes they've been.





And yeah, I used to be okay with McCain and I would've voted for him if I was me like 4 years ago. But he's just sort of been a douchebag lately. There's been so much hypocrisy... just from everyone. God, it's so ridiculous. : "Agents of intolerance"? Yeah, sure! I agree! Now it's Sarah Palin who... God, I hate that woman so much. : If I EVER hear one more word about moose hunting/eating...
